so is Lebron & Wade, so what?
MVP is not about who's the best player in the NBA, otherwise MJ would have been MVP every year and so would Lebron.

Because Kobie has more advantages then Derrick Rose thats why rose deserves it more. Kobie has a better coach, he plays with arguably the best power forward in the league, plays with one of the best peremiter defensive players in the league Artest, plays with one of the most versatile players in the league and wthe best bench player in odom, plays with one of the top 3 centers in the league with Bynum. Is that enought advantages for kobie, while rose wins with a bunch of lil above average players and bench players. So Mvp D .Rose no question...

So they account for the skill of the team, if the team is talented the player loses chances of winning the MVP award. On those Basis, Kevin Love has a case
Im just kidding but i see what u mean.

I rarely agree with Van Gundy, but Derrick Rose has this in the bag due to the media.

I would make cases for Dwight Howard, Kevin Love, LeBron, and Blake Griffin. If you look at the impact of these guys on their respective teams, they're all at the top of the list. Kevin Love won't get it, because...well he plays for the T-Wolves (and he's white...ouch), LeBron won't because everyone loathes him right now (although he is at the very top of the list numbers wise), and I don't they'll give it to Griffin in his rookie year. I'd say it's a toss up between Dwight Howard and DRose. The media does seems to be enamored with D-Rose.
Also has anyone been paying attention to Monta Ellis' play, I mean I wouldn't nominate him yet, but this guy is playing pretty amazing curently. If only he knew defense...

Rose has the MVP because of the media...Kobe and Rose has almost the same stats but look at Kobe's minutes per game compared to Rose! I think even if the Chicago loses its remaining games, Rose would still be the MVP...MVP award just losses its worth because of the media..

I was kinda thinking the same thing, hes a young flashy guy. Definitely worthy of the award but not as much as Kobe. I feel like Kobe always gets pushed out of the talk because he has pau.

kevin love and blake griffin? they have no cases, twolves are horrible with him on and without him. griffin has done nothing to be mentioned as an mvp candidate. monta ellis? wat the hell are u smoking? these are ur mvp candidates, hahaha.
dude, rose wins the mvp by a wide margin, not a "toss up" with howard.

I hate how people say "D.Rose is the MVP because of the media!" as if he's done nothing to deserve it.
Don't blame the media just because they recognize greatness

Maybe it's just me, but I always envisioned MVP being who is most effective on the court, not who has the prettiest highlight reel. If you had bothered to read my post you quoted, you'd see I said not Monta Ellis this year, just that he was playing well and that the other two have cases but won't get it. Hooked on Phonics kid, it works.

dont deflect ur dumb post by trying to insult me
u mention kevin love and griffin as mvp candidates??
2 teams that are at the bottom of the league and barely improved their records from the year before
y dont u stop looking at the flashy numbers son, u shud be slapped for mentioning them
who the hell cares wat kinda season ellis is having, his team sucks with him and sucks without him
