Kentucky -1.5. North Carolina won by like 35 against an 11 seed marqette. It will be a let down game. Kentucky is playing better then ever easy win. Also thinking about teasing Kentucky, the heat and the kings.

I still want to know why DAL opened as a PK in this game vs. -2 or 3.

By the numbers, a fair line for the game would be DAL pk/-1.

Why is that, given that the Mavs beat the Suns by 6 just last month in Phoenix and were -2 that night?

When I say by the numbers, I'm not referring to past lines. I'm talking pure stats.
As for today's line, if you take the last game's line at face value, last month the Mavs were playing almost perfect ball. In the last couple of weeks they've lost to the Lakers, Blazers, Spurs, Hornets, and Grizzlies while beating the Pacers, Wolves x2, Knicks, and Warriors x2. Not a good run for them. Add to that they're on a B2B and Mavs pk made perfect sense.
The problem for the Suns is, the Mavs are the better team. In terms of depth and sharing the responsibility for the ball at both ends, the Mavs are the team the Suns want to be. Mavs win this game.

SK, do you have your own thread? I feel that you are definitely one of the most insightful posters here in the NBA forum and was just wondering if you have a season long thread of your own. After going through your most recent posts, there did not seem to be one...thanks.
