Lakers -6.5 (Wed - Game 2)

Do you guyz think it will shrink to -6 or will it go back to -7 and higher?

I'm thinking of going ALL IN with all my NBA gambling winnings on this game. Make it or break it for me this NBA season.

Game 1 was supposed to be won by Utah (?). They outrebounded the Lakers. They had 22 more shot attempts.

...But it was a quiet 38 pts for Kobe. No one could guard him even Jerry Sloan said so. Kobe normally takes over on games 2. Just as Kareem said, Kobe reads whatever is given to him (defense) on games 1 and on games 2 he attacks! I'm really hoping that would happen. Add the fact that they might announce Kobe as the MVP that night. I don't think Lakers would falter on this particular night. Although, historically, games 2 are the most likely suspect for the underdog to get an upset.

What do you guys think?

i was at the sportsbook already and was about to pull the trigger on this, lakers -6.5 but then when i saw the board it's -7.

the other book is already closed but i think they have it at -6.5. i'll come by early. ill prolly buy half a point if it's -6.5 so ill have a chance to push. lakers -6 (-120)

yep. i will! as early as possible tomorrow morning. i think the line will move higher on the lakers. it might go back as high as -7.5/-8.

I shaved the half and took The Lakers at -6. Have yet to see them Throw a game. UTAH SUX ON THE ROAD... Now there playing the best team in the NBA...... I UNloaded on it.... i really do think that lakers will cover this game. i know i shld be playing this type of wager on a must-win scenario for the lakers, but ive been passing up on these cats for a while now and they have been winning (ATS). it's either gonna be a close game or a totally blown out game - lakers winning by dd. i just don't see the lakers rolling over on this particular game esp knowing what cp3 and the hornets are doing to the spurs.

i stand corrected. espn sportscenter just mentioned that it will be announced today (tuesday) and that there will be a press conference in LA.

just thinking aloud here... imo, it would have been a + on my lakers pick if it was announced before the game. i think it would have been a somewhat of a blow to the jazz and a sudden high for the lakers. instead now jazz will have a day to dwell on the fact that they are playing against the league MVP on game 2 and will now have a budding motivation to play a lot harder.

The Joy of being a season ticket holder...

Being a season ticket holder and a Kobe fan, this is the day i waited for since he came to the laker's. OK the 2nd day, the first has already happened, and thats him learning and having confidence in his teammate that he doesn't need to hog the ball. Watching the championship's being won not to long ago I felt real bad for the guy only getting a Lil credit while the great doofus shaq getting all the credit, shaq always bashing Kobe and not being able to drain a free throw. This is exactly what Kobe needs, look for the nervous 30+point game on Sunday(not really knowing if he had the MVP) to be out done on wed. with us the crowd behind him he should drop another 30+. Also look for him to focus and not only jump over cars but all over the jazz. I see the laker's sweeping once again, every one keeps talking about the jazz making adjustments but don't for get who the laker's have as a coach the greatest adjuster of all time as a coach. Look for the laker's to cover in every 1 of the games and i feel they will all be in the under side, but don't quote me, Good LUCK all

funny thing is the writer asked me if i was ok after i said how much i was betting. he kinda knows me and he knows i've never bet that much. lol!

one time chutebox did something like this and now im doing it. if i lose, ill prolly stop betting this season and just enjoy watching the playoffs. if i win, well... ill continue what im doing.

Like I said being a season ticket holder for the lakers I had to put my bet in earlier than the norm, but unlike you mundane i cashed in a lil more, I took the lakers-7 and over 210, my gut was telling me the under but in a flash instinct i took the over and good thing I did. Watch out folks for the lakers they are going to be in the finals, and look for them to win on the road in utah the first game I hope its a nice money line Cause i'm gonna jump all over that.
