Suns first half flaws:

Nash 2-8 FG 4 pts 0 assts.
Shaq 5-14 FT
Stoudemire only 4-9 FG
No supporting cast at the moment other than good numbers by Diaw.

Look for Nash to start heating up with Stoudemire and better team play.

I hear ya , I see it as >> it was will the spurs win by the normal 10 pts at home , as it happens alot , so the line was borderline -0.5 for spurs for 2nd half so they would have to win by 10 or more to be good for 2nd half play .

I also added 1.5* more to Suns +1/2 (-125) so I have

3* Suns +1/2
1* Over 98 <---pretty low right now, might need OT or some scoring runs.

It's pretty normal for teams/players to gradually move their stats closer to average after poor/great first halfs. So in this case, Nash should do much better in the 2nd half with assists and hopefully some points, and also Diaw should have a worse second half (after an above average first half). Also great to back a high scoring team, like the Suns, in this case.

Example: If a team shoots 65% in the first half, and they normally average %40, then look for them to end up shooting somewhere in between there for the game - 52% or so. And vice versa.

As I just mentioned in my previous post. Teams move closer to average. According to this statement:

In the playoff series so far:

Suns average 55.2 ppg at halftime: They scored 45 tonight, which means they will play better in the 2nd half.

Spurs average 49.5 ppg at halftime: They scored 54 tonight, which means they will play a little worse in the second half.

Third quarter score: Suns 27 Spurs 15 - which means it is correct so far.
