Team Total Side Bet
Boston O26 in the 1st Quarter. Easy money if Boston scores more than 26 in the first. In their previous games against Miami, Boston scored 30+points in each of the first 3 quarters. I am learning that betting the side total for an individual team is much better than betting the total for both teams.

Just what the Heat need. Short-handed against the best team in the NBA.

With you on this one diogee. Heat will be struggling to put up shots, let alone points.

Wow...I would give the Heat about a .00037% chance of winning. I might even be brave enough to give them a 5% chance at scoring 80.

I am all over the Heat money line! Who is with me????
The Heats record is an unfair indicator of their true talent and Boston is so over the hill. I don't care people think that KG, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce are going to the Hall of Fame. The people who vote don't know what's really up. D-league filled Heat are gonna rock Celts so bad yall need just watch

I am not so sure that I would feel safe betting the Heat ML against a squad of 5th graders at this point.

Here is a thought. Parlay any straight bet that you make tomorrow with the Celt ml. Do yall think that is worth the extremely minimal risk (every penny helps)??

That would seem quite solid to me DL...the only way that I see the Heat even sniffing the lead is if at least 2 of the big 3 all go down early. I still don't have the balls to add them with every straight bet.

The only thing I worry about if if this is mathematically idiotic (even so Celtics are a lock and saying that is not going to jinx it). If the Celtics lose that would be the biggest shocker of the century thus far, and in all honesty I wouldn't be too disappointed if I lost a bit of money (my normal sized bets for a day) on pretty much the biggest shcoker. These teams are barely in the same league.

im not even gonna bother with this line. i dnt see celtics putting much effort on beating somebody dat bad. if they were lakers (w/ gasol), raptors, or nuggets maybe i'd consider them trying to win by 30-50 pts.
edit: on the second thot, ima play celtics -22.5. nothing crazy. just a small play.

Yeah I agree completely with that DL....would be a bigger upset than Stanford taking down USC as 32 points dogs. Not sure exactly what the ML is but it would need to be -2000 just to break even on a parlay.

i stand corrected! they schalak @clipps 104-76 (2/25/2008), sonics 111-82 (3/12/2008) and utah 110-92 the ff game at home (3/14/2008). and recently 20 pts against the phoenix and the hornets. hmmmm... still no play for me.

Boston ML adds next to no value to any straight. I wouldn't even bother. I'd rather parlay a ML of a team San Antonio or Golden State with a straight.

The heat can probably cover this game because the Celtics aren't going to even take this game seriously. They are lock to clinch everything in the east, so they're going to look past this game. The heat on the other hand are going to have a bunch of young nobody's playing loosely and with nothing to do lose.
