Another site shows that the Lakers will be released as 6 point favorites. Lakers are 1-2 Su and 0-3 ATS against the Spurs this year. Ginobli is listed as doubtful which helps out a lot. Ginobli has scored 17,14, and 12 in the 3 meetings so far. Both teams have been evenly matched as far as shooting % in each of the games with the Lakers winning 1 game by 5 points, losing one by 12 points, and losing one by 15 points. The X-factor in each game was San Antonio's ability to force turnovers. The X-factor in each match-up was turnovers. In the Lakers 2 losses they turned the ball over 41 times while the Spurs turned it over 18 times in those 2 games. The game that the Lakers won they turned the ball over 8 times and forced 15 turnovers. With the Hornets losing this could be the possible match-up for home court advantage and the #1 seed. The total is to be released around 198 which is about where I see it with a slight lean on the under. With the importance of this game I fully expect the Spurs to slow the game up, try forcing turnovers, and control the game with defense which in turn would make it a close game in the Spurs favor. If Ginobli is updated to questionable or probable I will play the Spurs at +6 but nothing lower.

Also LAL has averaged 95 ppg in those 3 games with the only time over 100 being 102 when they were playing at home...also was their only win over the Spurs. SAS average 102.3 in those 3 games with the only game not over 100 was when they put up 97 in LA. Spurs have also held 13 straight opponents under 100 points with just five of them scoring in the 90's. Lakers have went over 100 in 8 straight games but I still feel that defense controls the game.

I think you're right, it won't be a very high scoring affair. Has that Sunday afternoon style of game written all over it. I think the Hornets losing last night will be extra incentive for King Kobe and company to take care of business at home though. Can see them winning SU and not covering.

I do agree that ultimately Kobe will pull this one through at home and that is why I won't play the Spurs unless there is a decent chance that Ginobli will play. Probably be decided in the final minutes of the game if Ginobli does play.
