Wade played like absolute garbage and Bosh we don't even want to start on this guy. First eat something you look like and ethiopian predator, and get a post game or at least try hanging out outside the three point line. This team may have one superstar but not three (maybe 2 if Wade gets it together) but they are not as good as the public including me thought!

#6The Heat had a few flashes of brilliance but way to many mistakes otherwise. Give them another few games together and they will be tough. The defense by both teams was fairly outstanding.Comment -

#12I agree with that. This was a preseason game for him. He's been out for just so long and hasn't practiced with the team and gotten familiar with how everybody is playing together. No doubt this will come around during the season.Comment -

#14I'm here to make money not be bitter about rich millionaires. If the Heat can make me money, I'll fall in love with them but I'm not impressed with their lack of an inside game. I also didn't like seeing them stand around and watch the Lebron show like everywhere he's played before. Bosh is too soft inside and guys like BigZ and Joel Anthony are not going to get it done every night. I'm not hating on Lebron as he brought it tonight but he hasn't made anyone better IMO in his career.
There was a play where LBJ threw a bad pass to Wade on a break and he looked at Wade as if it was his fault. I pick up on stuff like that. We'll see how well they play together. I think they wont. They sure didn't in the Olympics no matter what people thought. In crunch time, Kobe had to bail that team out.
I mentioned in a post a few weeks ago that the Heat would go 2-2 at best to start the season. I now think they'll be 1-3 and possible below .500 their first 10 games. There's a good chance they lose to Philly tomorrow.Comment -

#15Miami will get it together tommorow, they had to get going against the best D in the league. You will see some stellar teamwork tommorow and by the next these two teams play, heat will come out with the win. They actually came really close today aswell. Just couldnt execute near the end. Dont worryComment -

#25One, you can't judge the entire season or the teams outlook on one game. Two, a few people must not have watched Bosh play too much when he was in Toronto. The guy is a gifted talent for a man of his size. He creates mismatches against other 4's because of his ability to play both inside and out. He doesn't have a dominate post game but he has nice moves and can finish down there. Three, it was their first regular season game together playing as a unit (in pre-season due to injuries i don't believe they even played together much). Four, you can't blame that loss on just Wade. They came up against the superior team that night. A veteran team that plays good "D" and that's been to the finals.
If you want to blame anything blame it on the poor ball movement and floor spacing. Blame it on everyone standing around watching Lebron try to create. Are there going to be enough balls to go around this season? Don't know if anyone noticed but it seemed like every time Wade touched the ball he felt the need to shoot it. It really was like watching Cleveland all over again with a different supporting cast.Comment -

#27Bosh is perfect for an offense like the Raptors or Golden State. He is not going to bang, get dirty and spit on people in the trenches come playoff time. He needs to out finesse people and take jumpers. That is fine in most games, come playoffs sorry charlie. The Heat have no answer for the Celtics inside game when Perkins comes back. If the Celtics are healthy they will be in the finals, the Heat cannot matchup.Comment -

#28I don't think we can really judge based on one game against Boston of all teams but after just watching the game for the 2nd time, there were a few things I saw that makes me think they've got some weird issues happening right now. Why did Riley take LeBron out of the game and bring Wade in when he was on his massive run in the 3rd and all of the momentum had shifted Miami's way? It's not like Wade was all of a sudden going to start producing points. And LeBron's touted as the best all around athlete in the league. You can't tell me he needed a rest already in the 3rd. Also everyone with the exception of LeBron looked like they were physically scared to shoot the ball when they finally did get it in their hands.
I think there's some crazy mojo happening on that team at the moment. Not sure if it's down to pressure from all the hype, Riley having to try to placate a few big egos so his playmaking decisions need to take that into account or if they're just generally trying to find their way but they really didn't look much like a team and considering this was the first regular season game, not the first preseason game, I'd be at least a little concerned if I was a genuine Miami (not just a LeBron) fan.Last edited by shari91; 10-27-10, 07:26 AM.Comment -

#30The Heat will bounce back as the season continues on. This basically was like a preseason game for them in a bit of a way. This was the first time all the players played together in game aside from the first game in preseason when Wade got injured. I think everyone was/is relying upon Lebron to make the big plays and get the Heat out of scoring trouble. The commentators really favored the Heat in this game, they seemed to cream their pants everytime a big Heat play happened. No doubt about it, Lebron is a great player, and he just might be the backbone of this team. However, I think as the first few games get under their belt, and they play more together as a team, they will be just fine. You can't expect this team to be perfect coming out of the gate in their first season together. Now next season, I'd expect the team to be living up to all the hype there is to be.Comment -
