the people who did research, and followed teams offseasons and preseasons can make money when the lines arent as tight. I think this is the time where players can have an edge over the linesmen, before they can adjust certain teams.

anyone who knows what they are doing looks at preseason for certain things like rotation, new styles, injuries, there is plenty of info out there from the local beat writers.

but to some I guess final score is the only thing they use to cap.

now is the best time to bet if you know what you are doing. your comment about who knows whats going to happen makes no sense whatsoever because you never know what is going to happen anyway 100%. now is when you can take advantage of some soft lines (totals for sure) and make some money, it only gets harder. nothing is perfect but early is better than late in a lot of cases.

My biggest bets are on the preseason and in the beginning of each season (In almost all sports). Lines are softer and people has the idea or the image of the last year team.

nba betting takes a lot of courage at any time of the season. someone throws in a 3 with 2 seconds left to cut their losing margin from 9-6 and the line is 7. it happens over and over again and with totals it is worse. you bet totals and suffer watching the whole game trying to get more baskets. (just about 73% of total wagers are on the over according to bookmaker sources). it is gambling to the nth degree.

Everything is very small bets for awhile until I feel confident that I know the teams. Some teams really haven't changed much and some have.
