It's True.... It gives you that "educated guess" edge...

dude he was asking about which team he should put a future bet on.
I think lakers have a pretty good chance of getting out of the west so that would give you good hedge value
or else i would go the magic or celtics personally

sorry hawley -
i agree i like orlando and utah - just find a top 4 team in the west that has younger players and a more home dominant schedule

i think with future bets like this its better to take more of a long shot who has a genuine chance of making conference finals at least, so you have good value in a hedge later on

I would go to the Lakers or Magic
Lakers are best team in the west and they can have easy way to the finals.
Orlando is top 3 team in the East, and they can beat Heat and Celtics in PO. So great value on Orlando Magic with this line +1333

yea because the stake is not returned i was wondering if this would be a better idea. but looks like i will go with the magic unless some1 can offer a good long shot.

take the lakers, lakers won last year with a weaker lineup but they retooled this season giving away that crap farmar, replacing with steve blake even though i don't like blake a lot, gotten matt barnes to form a good defensive trio with kobe ,artest, barnes

the reason why its not good to go with the lakers compared to the magic is the schedule and matchups, especially with the magic playign easier teams that they will dominate better, it is easier to ride them while the lakers might win a lil more will have closer games and i like the magic as they are improving while kobe's still injured so its not necessarily a good idea to ride them until he is back to 100%

well if you want my honest opinion, I believe its going to be the Lakers @ 5/2 or Miami @ 17/10 odds. But if you want value there are some solid as well as sleeper picks. In the East you can take Celtics @ 17/2 or Orlando @ 13/1 which would be a Solid pick. If your looking for extreme value from dark horse teams that could catch fire and make a title run, 3 come to mind. Milwaukee had great chemistry last year prior to Bogut going down, and @ 50/1 I like their odds. Oklahoma City has Durant, and last year he showed that OKC is only steps away from beating LA. @ 14/1 it seems like a nice bid to me.
And my last value pick, which I personally locked in for a small bet to win the West is Portland. I really like their roster, and IF they stay healthy, and Oden is even somewhat productive, the are the only other team in the West that has the size to compete with Gasol and Bynum. LAL is definantley the favorite in the West/title, but if you need a value pick Portland is 30/1 to win title and 12/1 to win the west.
Just my opinion.

I like OKC, miami is literally only a 2 person team without wade playing, and they already have injuries on their thin lineup - East: Boston Orlando and i'm not quite sure how good miami will be because they look dreadful this preseason
dark horse in east has to be the bulls - they have a very complete team
Like I said for the west, I think the Jazz, OKC and lakers will be the top 3 but Im not sure how good the Lakers will be with an injured Kobe, because Kobe went 3/18 in his last full preseason game. Also Phoenix isn't a good team any more as their starters just got blown out by 40 points to the Denver bench, preseason or not, Nash was playing a full game and Lopez isn't doing enough. The spurs and Mavericks are solid teams but nothing too exciting, the Spurs know they just need to hang in there and start really playing in the playoffs.
I really feel this will be the year younger players make the difference.

East:
Orlando could win the East this season. I'm not sold on the Miami hype yet. They haven't proved anything yet. Boston need serious injection of new blood to win the East.
West:
The Lakers may not have the drive to repeat what they did last year. The Thunder will be one team to lookout for. They have the combination of talent/youth/drive/coaching that can give them the Western Conference prize this season.

Miami is the pick you want. They have two of the top three players in the world. Im not sure if thats been done ever. Not to.mention chris bosh who is a top 3 pf.
