What's All The Hoopla About LeBron, I Just Dont Get It
Ive never seen a free agent talked about as much as LeBron....ever. Citites all over America started their very own campaign to get him, its been talked about every single day for over a month. I like LeBron, but weve seen him for 7 years, this past year being the worse as far as his waning desire in the last few games of the Cavs playoff series. Who says he HAS to have a ring, I wont be surprised if he retires without one. Unless his big announcement tonight is him going to the Heat, there isnt another team in the league with enough money plus the right players for him to get a ring soon.

Yes he is amazing, those last few games in the playoffs were not a good look though, leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

who cares about last years playoffs. He realized he couldnt do it with that team. He is 25 years old 6'7 240 lbs. Can play every aspect of the game.

The NBA's free agent hoopla has a lot to do with league rules preventing the best players from commanding market rate. With finances less of a factor, more teams come into the mix. Secondly, LeBron is one of the best players of all time; his recent playoff motivation issue barely dents this. I would be shocked if he didn't get a ring at all through his career; it's quite similar to the idea of Jordan never getting one.

Kobe Bryant is currently the most overrated player in the NBA. This often happens with people who shoot the ball a lot. There's a reason that the Lakers were never that bad when he was out. He's pretty good overall, and would be better if he displayed better shooting discretion, but his ring count has a lot to do with the teammates he's had.

In just a couple of years the man single handily turned one of the worst teams in the nba into an annual playoff team and a serious threat to the nba title. It's hard to win a ring by yourself though.

By yourself? He had good pieces this year, they should have beaten Boston hands down. Jamison never got on track with that team, he should have been the link to at least win the conference title.

He had decent pieces. Nothing special. You put any other player in the nba in lebron's shoes and they're still not winning it all with those teams imo. It's very impressive what he was able to do for those cleveland teams overall though.

Overall I agree it was, especially when they made it to the finals against the Spurs a few years back. I guess since people anoint him as the king I hold him to that standard sometimes, Jordan would have won a title with that Cavs team I suspect. Who knows though.

Maybe Jordan would have but he's Jordan. Even though Lebron and Kobe will never be Jordan they are the closest things we have these days to MJ. This decision drastically changes the entire 2010-2011 season and beyond, hence all the hoopla.

I think that last sentence is taking it too far. If he goes to the Bulls they get to the Finals IMO unless they bring in at least another good piece, Miami is his best chance, I think they could be setting the grand finale with the decision tonight to Miami with Bosh declaring for Miami this morning, no way they would announce LeBron first then Bosh second.

I don't think that line is taking it too far. Just look what it would do to Cleveland if he left. They would go from a threat to the title to average at best. What if he joined the Heat? They would go from a threat to the title to the hands down favorite. What would that do for money? The NBA could sell the "big 3" like nothing. Teams like the Bulls and Knicks who have been primed for this offseason would come out big losers. This decision changes championship and playoff hopes for so many teams and changes revenue for both the NBA and many individual teams.

I'm gonna barf, there are so few NBA teams, doesn't half of the teams make the playoffs even if they have a losing record? Therefore, it doesn't take a LeBron to get an NBA team into the playoffs. I am sure with the NBA draft letting crap hole teams get first dibs for the draft that the New Jersey Nets will be in the playoffs this coming year. You can take that and LeBron James to the bank.

An annual playoff team. They couldn't even make the playoffs before Lebron and now they make them every year. They missed the playoffs for something like 5 straight years and were a 17-65 team before Lebron. Not only are they an annual playoff team now but they have seen the finals, have been the #1 seed the last 2 years, and are they are legit title contenders. That's quite the turnaround and Lebron deserves most of the credit for that.

You didnt understand what I meant, I mean if he goes to the Bulls, they still wont have enough to get the job done, Rose,LeBron and role players arnt enough IMO.
Are you kidding? In the playoffs without Lebron.. Rose and Noah are only going to get better.. Noah averaged a double double, and now we got Boozer. Deng is underrated and quite talented. Taj Gibson showed a ton of promise and is young..

                                                Rose
                                                Lebron
                                                Noah
                                                Boozer
                                                Deng

With Taj off the bench and if we get a SG like Reddick or something.. Best 6/7 in the NBA, bar none.
