Honestly I respect the thought process, and I also repsect you for considering lines and public perception when you decide your play. I do the same thing.

But everyone needs to settle down about these referee fixes. The team who has played better has won every single one of these games. I agree 100% that the referees may be biased at times, I would be a fool not too. I have seen a "fixed" game before in the sense that the refs displayed bias and taken it too far, but none of these games have fit that bill. There are bad calls in every game and there are biased calls in every game, but you are the fool if you think every single game played has a covert referee agenda that is going to decide the outcome. That's not how it works.

Secondly, the -6.5 line tonight is not any type of manipulation. This is how lines work. Have you watched the patterns of a single series so far in this postseason? LA opened at -6 in game 1. They opened at -6 in game 2. Now they are in the position of desperation, and the line opened at 6.5.

PHX series. Games 1 and 2 opened at 6.5 and 6. Game 5 opened at 7 and the Lakers won by 2 points, with no time left on the clock. There was no manipulation involved in that line trying to suck the public onto Phoenix like some venus Fly trap. Phoenix nearly won that game and covered easily.

Like I said I respect your thought process, but you are really getting too caught up. Handicap the players, the individual matchups, the historical trends, the coaches, each team's motivation/desperation, and of course consider the refs because they can often be a factor. But don't put time and thought into "manipulations and venus fly traps". It's not justified and its not going to get you anywhere.

Side note: I think the Lakers could blow out Boston tonight. But it won't be scripted by the NBA if it does. It will be because the Lakers supporting cast comes out much more aggressive offesnively, and they make their open shots when they have them. It will be because the Laker defense holds Boston to something better than the 56% FG% they had in Game 5.

Did a referee conspiracy cause the Celtics to shoot 56% and set up a more dramatic return to LA? I doubt it.

There wont be any fix in games 6 and 7. Stern doesn't care what happens from now on...he is satisfied with the series returning to LA.

No one can shoot @ LA except for Kobe. Boston has multiple players that can shoot
double digits. Boston will play dirty tonight and put an elbow in Kobe's eye about

I said this several times on here before the series started! If Vegas and Stern have anything to do with each other, LA will win game 1 so people will go heavy on the series bet because of Phil's record and Boston will win the series.

Either way, I came in here to say thank you for starting this thread! I was going to stay away from this one and ride out my series bets on LA and Boston but after seeing what you wrote I put a little money on LA and a few other bets. So far I've cashed two and the others are looking sweet.
