#5true sharps only bet on games they have info/know 99.9% to be a win.
if lakerboy had the discipline, he could be sharper.
same for a lot of us.Comment -

#7He is just above average. If it werent for his couple of 50 unit plays and 100 unit plays, he would be down both in regular season and playoffs. So, I definitely wouldn't consider him a sharp. But he is probably just above average.Comment -

#9If he wins he is good... but several cappers just keep increasing unit amounts till they show a profit... I am not saying he does that do not follow him... have opened his thread five or six times this year... Must be doing something right to have a thread with so many views... I did not follow NBA as closely as I did last year...been putting 100% into baseball...glad to see you post a thread like this though...he must be doing something right! GL to him as the NBA season ends...
But I do remember a thread...or post he had kind of a pick of the year type a week or two ago in playoffs....he posted. It won...if he hits the big ones when he needs to ...that has to be a very big plus.
The forum needs winners with so many of you losing.... GL to everyone!Last edited by G's pks; 06-15-10, 03:45 PM.Comment -

#10Sounds reasonable...just read your post...if he hits the big plays he must have a good understanding of what he is doing... Also we should give credit to anyone here that posts a season long thread and puts up with some of the degenerates that try to ruin a good thread...he did not generate that kind of viewing by being a moron!Comment -

#12Let's see... Lakerboy hit over 54% over 600 plays in the regular NBA season. There are some that might have a higher percentage but who has done it over so many plays? Documented here at least? Sharp? Well who knows? What is a sharp? A winner.. DEFINITELY! Willing to help others by teaching and giving knowledge? DEFINITELY! Have I benefited from him being around? Without a doubt. He has taught me some things that I did not know about NBA betting and that is saying something considering I was doing it well before many in this thread. There is plenty to learn from him. Sometimes he acts as if he only bets line moves...Hardly. He understands situational betting better than probably anybody in this forum.. Might have something to do with him hitting a very high percentage of his larger bets. Don't you think?Comment -

#13Most "sharps" got hammered in NBA this season. Lakerboy, sweetjones and shoebox (just to name 3) did as well if not better than any "sharp" or legitimate tout out there. Call him and the others whatever you want to, I simply call them winners.Comment -

rochtertitans
shoebox
tennisbabe
sawyer
and many more I cant think of...all hit more than 60% over several hundred plays and are documented. They are just not popular with all the minions. But these guys are better than lakerboy.Comment -

I said who has done it over 600 plays? I was discussing NBA specefic. None of the posters you named have 600+ plays documented in the NBA. Only Shoebox of that list rivals Lakerboy as far as quality and quantity. Rochestertitans also doesn't really qualify. He has no money involved so clarity is not an issue with him. Besides if he was so good he could have got a free play or 2 from all the points his minnions have gifted him including me trying to help the guy.Comment -

I have seen his work and have to admit he is good. However, were is those numbers coming from you are quoting? He did not have his own thread. He seemed to start late in the year and posted in LB's thread. I doubt seriously he has 500 plays in the NBA at SBR.
I was talking about one's body of work over the course of an entire NBA season and you only produced Shoebox. The other's you named while I can't discount, but let's be serious here. Shoebox and LB were the benchmark for this NBA season for people that did it successful and documented at SBR from wire to wire.
Are there other good cappers here? Sure, but the others you named outside of shoebox are not in the same category as far as entire season with 600+ plays.Comment -
