Don't get me wrong,he's a warrior.Either his skills are diminishing or he just dosen't fit in the Lakers offense. It just dosen't blend well when I watch.

Example:When I watch Gasol or Odom--They seem like they fit on the team and Artest is a better player than Odom

Well for one Artest is not better than Odom.

For two Artest was brought in to be a defensive stopper against Lebron, Carmelo, Paul Pierce types and there are none of those on Phx.

I agree- he isn't exactly known for his offensive prowess.

btw, theres absolutely no way you can bunch Paul Pierce with those guys- but we get the point.

you can if that's who he'd guard

And it's not like Boston didn't beat LA in the finals b4

Edit - And Paul was Finals MVP

Artest and Odom are two different types of players----Artest reminds me of Charles Oakley

I don't think that you can say whose better because they play different roles on the team(I take my original statement back)

So you're right, Artest isn't a good fit in that offense but it doesn't really matter because his job is to stay out of the way. Ariza was a better fit because he could run the floor but against elite talent you'd still prbly want Ron checking them ... 5 year contract is the craziest part

Batum or someone like that would be perfect. Defensive stopper who can hit the open three, Ron has had some good 3 pt % years so they were prbly hoping on that. They wanted basically a bigger Bruce Bowen

Artest's biggest problem right now is that he cannot knock down a jumper to save his life. This is bad for the LA offense which needs the correct blend of KOBE/inside to Gasol/outside shooting.

Yup to spot up in the corner like Bowen always did for SA. Jefferson struggled on SA this year for the exact same reason, just needed him to hit the corner 3 but he couldn't and Ron can't right now either. His confidence is all messed up now too with Phil and Kobe in his ear

Ron Artest has never been good fit anywhere. Hes finally calmed down enough that he can be on a team, but hes still a retard. Guy can play defense but he is a total liability.

Last night he had a great steal tried to dribble 4 feet and gave it right back.

If a fight breaks out, there's no one else they'd rather have on the team.

He's not a great scorer but he's an excellent defender and brings a level of toughness to the team.

Well if they win title then he was a good fit, if not then a bad fit
