LA Times reports Kobe Bryant had "significant" amount of fluid drained from knee
Kobe Bryant had a "significant amount of fluid" drained from his right knee recently and hasn't practiced with the Los Angeles Lakers since they advanced through the Western Conference semifinals, the Los Angeles Times reported on Monday.
Bryant isn't the only Laker hurting. Center Andrew Bynum has practiced just once since the Lakers advanced past the Utah Jazz to the conference final. He said his right knee injury was "getting a little worse" after taking part in a team scrimmage on Saturday.
The Lakers had no comment when asked Monday for confirmation of Bryant's knee being drained.
Neither Bryant nor Bynum spoke to reporters Sunday.
Of Bryant, Lakers coach Phil Jackson said "He came out [Sunday] and shot a little bit and tried to get in rhythm. We hope that he's on board and his game is right at that point where it needs to be."
As for Bynum, Jackson said "I thought he played well [Saturday] and we're hopeful that he's going to be at that level."
ESPNLosAngeles.com's Dave McMenamin contributed to this report.

good thing he had it drained (days ago) and hasn't practiced.
6 day layoff baby.. Bynum the only one who says his knee feels worse after practice.

don't you love how they break this now - and i bet Bynum is just saying that cuz he doesn't want to practice.
