long read. HoulihansTX sent this artice during march madness when I asked how Calipari was able to continually get the best highschool player in the country 3 yrs straight. Obviously Wes and Calipari are tight and Calipari is more than likely funneling him some money to get the players to play for him. Also, the James camp plan on using Calipari as influence somehow in negotiations. Calipari, said he is staying put at Kentucky. They all say that though. You never know what is going on with Calipari. He might need to leave Kentucky soon before info about him is leaked. He is a crooked character and sooner or later will leave Kentucky in NCAA turmoil. I think Lebron wants to play with Calipari and the James camp knows they can influence a prospective team in the market for him to hire Calipari and a package deal to be the coach.. You do know Lebron will influence who is coaching the team he decides to go with..All but Miami. He won't influence that because Riley is too strong to be told. Also, James most likely would not go to Miami because he don't want to here he had to ride D. Wades jock to a championship.. Chicago is Lebron's best move for the best chance of winning and public opinion of he wins. Obviously Miami would be tops but I don't think his ego will allow that to come to pass.

It's no accident Calipari got:Rose,Evans,Wall in succesion. All 3 one and done lottery picks.

I think Miami and Chicago are both possible right now. I don't think Lebron would be too worried about an ego conflict with Wade given that they are best friends. Lebron would also certainly have influence over the coach at Miami as it would cause Riley to come back to coaching. However, I don't think the pieces surrounding the core of he and Wade in Miami is all that strong.

The difficulty with Chicago is that Derrick Rose spends a very large amount of time with the ball in his hands and I'm not sure how well he and Lebron would play together. That being said, they are good friends as well and I'm sure they could make it work.

Regardless of where Lebron ends up, I hope he is utilized in a much more uptempo offense than he was in Cleveland. Paired with a dangerous point guard who loves to push the ball Lebron could be downright scary.

No, I didn't mean Lebron will have problems with Wade. Don't think that Lebron isn't worried about public perception. He knows at Miami if he wins a championship with Wade many people will say he rode Wade to his championship. Some critics would say that. Also the pressure to win a championship in Miami will be greater if they play together. Rather there is any quality players in Miami or not they will become the "public favorites" to win it all the next season right, wrong or otherwise. I think the Lebron camp will side with Chicago. Chicago has some good players already and have proved to be scrappy in the playoffs without his services.

Yea, I agree if he went to Miami, Riley would coach it but Riley ain't going to be told he has to hire Calipari.. Which is a rumor going around here and there that Lebron wants to play for Calipari.

Bobbie Knight has publicly wondered the same thing. It's only a matter of time when he leaves Kentucky with NCAA sanctions. I wouldn't want Calipari. He is a quick fix guy with connections. He is absent the qualities of a champion. I would be very surprised to see Calipari ever win a championship. His hired guns are good, but late in the tournament when teamwork, experience and comradire are needed his teams lose.. Also, he is known more for being a recruiter rather than a coach. That Kentucky team he has was unreal talent wise. Calipari makes 4 million a year because he has connections like WWW. Most coaches are teaching young men how to be men and graduate college and be better people. Calipari, is using college for young hoops stars as a minor league and he doesn't graduate anybody and not all his players are NBA talent.

Lebron should go the clippers. I read this article today and i like the idea.

The Los Angeles Clippers just might be the right spot if LeBron James decides to leave Cleveland.

He could make that franchise a winner and would be considered a mega god if he did. Now I doubt the Lakers would let that happen but i like the idea.

Lebron to the Clippers would just be sick. I think that they are by far the best option for him in terms of supporting cast, age, ability to win now, and location. That being said, it's the Clippers Nice article though Williams, very interesting to say the least.

Clippers... Read the same article on the way to work...It makes ALOT of sense. I really think that's a good idea. The clippers do have the best supporting cast out of all the teams they talk about.

It sounds ideal and they sugarcoated it well. The Clippers are, well there the Clippers and none of that will mean anything is the West.. Maybe a playoff spot but champions? NAH. They can all dance together though on the sidelines

Baron Davis is the only starter who is on the team, by free agency. Others were drafted, or traded for.

Also its a job. If one employer will overpay you in free agency, you will go and swallow your pride.

Besides the Clipper organization has been losers for the last 25+years, save their one playoff run. You know who has been the one constant during the 25+ years.... Sterling.

Also anyone who signs with the Clippers out of free agency, either is receiving a lucrative contract that no one else would offer, Baron Davis. Or just cant get a job anywhere else. LeBron has choices, and can will receive a Max deal no matter the team.

The guy is not necessarly a racist. He got accused of that because he didn't want to rent his aprtments to minorities. I think it was more results oriented from his past experience with being in the business. He has many minorites on his business payroll and his professinal sports franchise. He just doesn't want to rent to them, but employs many. If he was racist he wouldn't employ them in his other business interest outside of basketball.

If this is how you are going to answer about Don Sterling, then you win. No need to even talk about it...

The cardinals of the NFL were losers for more than 25 years and owned by what many consider the worst owner in sports ( Bill Bidwell) . They turned things around lately.

Lebron has choices obviously and it would benefit the league if the stays in the east for balance but i think the idea of playing for the clippers is appealing based on the personnel.

Not time for Lebron to help rebuild the clippers- he wants to win a ring in 2011. He will go to a team that already has pieces in place to win a title, he's not going to go to Clippers and then they bring pieces around him. Miami, Chicago already have pieces in place. Lebron won't go to NY if Tmac leaves. If Tmac and David Lee both stay in NY- NY is a huge possibility for Lebron, and they would be instant contenders with that trio.

I agree with both of these statements.

But I have to add that The Cards turned it around b/c they have a great coach. Since Wisenhunt has left, the Steelers have been doubting their current o-coordinator.

His most likely spot is Chicago and adding him makes them legit right away but not neccessarily champs.

Well since we are on the subject of racism I want to add that will be difficult to achieve. There are only 3 or 4 Black coaches worth playing for in the NBA and Doc Rivers is one of those and will most likely leave the league after this year. You do know Lebron only wants to play for black men, right? That's why the Cavaliers wound up with the last 2 bozo's as coaches. They were lebron chosen. Cavaliers are a joke of a franchise. Go and spend 100 million to win and let the employess tell you how to run it by hiring a black coach/video coordinator.
