Boston vs Cavs - State your reasoning please
I'm leaning the Cavs but the amount of big plays on Boston from guys I respect is making me doubt myself a bit. I've been on the 'square' plays for the past couple of days and have made a large chunk of change. Some of those plays to me seemed too obvious not to pick yet the majority of regular posters on here were on the other side. Will the squares continue to win or does Boston put a stop to the trend?

    Help!

Yeah, I'm confused as all hell. When I look at the game myself I think the Cavs will take it but after seeing so many bets on here on the Celtics I feel like I may be missing something important.

Cavs -1.... if LeBron comes to play with the same attitude as last game, its probably over for Boston. They let Rondo take open jump shots and deny drives to the basket... and result was only 8 assists compared to 19 in game 2. Boston never got their offence going with Rondo forced to being scorer and not playmaker.... I dont think that changes tonight.

I hear what you are saying Shari. I have made a shit ton this week. I frequent some of the same threads you do and I respect them but in the end its your money and I think you are doing right using them as a quide and not a bible. I am up over 30 units this week by using what I have learned and applying discipline. I am well aware of the 20x plus bets that are being posted.

I cant call the Cavs/Bos game just yet. Boston got fuggin booed, while leaving the court and they should have with the anal penetration they got from Cleveland. Cleveland is the better team and will most likely advance. I really think the books are playing this one real close to the vest not letting the line run far in either direction. Bos like LAL is a public favorite. Lots and lots of loot on Bos cuz of fans rather than objectivity. When its all said and done, I am going to follow the money and bet accordingly. If you like I will be happy to let you know what I wager. But with all the opposing views, I am certainly NOT gonna bet the farm. I am gonna watch the line movement, lay a few units.....for sure on the Over/Under and maybe a few on whoever the line movement dictates. I am a cheapskate and I absolutely REFUSE to give my cheddar that I have busted the books for this week. I have been wearing his ass out lately and this week was RIDICULOUS. His bitch ass is gonna hate to see me coming.

Well you sure did see all the big plays on the Hawks & Jazz from all the "guys you respect"...You see where that got them. Is Boston a better team? Does Cleveland want to keep playing Boston while the Magic will be resting? Stop falling for all the Vegas suck you in crap...Bet the better team.

Can lebron play another great game with a broken arm

seriously though...I think pride kicks in for celtics but it's hard to feel too strongly after seeing the last game celtics did win game 2 though so they must have some confidence. Good luck

Come on people lebron is fine that was all smoke and mirrors. He could play with his left hand and still have 18. Points 8 assists and 7 rebounds haha he that good. For real bostons old garrnet is beat up and so is Perkins and with out rondo getting to the glass because he is scared that's shaq is goin to Decapitate him they have no chance.

Tough one to call here. Either team can step up and win this game in my opinion. All the other series games are easier to figure out. I've been staying away, and it's worked in my favor so far. I've got mad love this round for my Lakers, the Magic, and the Suns too (lost on game 4 betting Spurs..only 1 loss this round).

As for the Cavs vs Boston...I think I would be down 1-2 if I played them...winning only game 3. But BOL on whichever team you choose!

Keep in mind that Boston lost to the Nets this year at home. They are a team that just shuts down. Cleveland is goin to the ride the L-Train to the promised land.

First of all you guys might forgot but BOS is a better team at the road, so the fact they are playing at home is an advantage for the Cavs. The BOS players said all year long it's harder home ... With that the Cavs are simply the better team, don't think for one sec they will come to relax and get it back to home, they want to crush the BOS as many time as they can. The King will get his 35+ points and the Cavs will win.

About all the forum, as a smart guy said here, all those ppl bet ATL and the Jazz every game, so really the mass betting on the Celtics doesn't mean anything. ppl are betting very badly lately for no good reason. I'm not saying this is an easy bet, but how the hell could ppl bet on ATL?! or the Jazz?! Or the Spurs when the Suns had +7?! that is a JOKE!!!

i like boston because PP is a good actor, he will pumped up the celtics crowd before anyone knows it
but seriously i like boston because of the crowd booing them off their home court, they may want to show something worthwhile for their fans at home

Well, as the guys who are in LB's thread all the time know, I've never made a thread like this asking for opinions. Normally I just make my plays, state them if asked and cheer everyone on even if I'm on the other side as I don't like to see anyone lose big money. This game though has left me shaking my head.

But I've placed my bet on the Cavs - only for 1.5x at the moment but I think I'll increase that although I refuse to risk the majority of the money I've made this week so I won't go big. I have to go with my gut again and follow the same theory I've been applying whether it's square or not. Cavs ARE the better team and although I agree getting booed at home can be a great motivator, I've also seen many teams in various sports who were shithouse get booed one game and continue to be shithouse the next. You can't change the actual talent on your team no matter how motivated you are and I believe the Cavs are highly motivated as well. They want some rest time and they got smashed by BOS in Game 2. You don't forget that easily.

I'm also leaning the under in this one, but I'll see how that goes closer to game time. Best of luck everyone!!

Happy Mother's day Shari. I know you're one of a few chicks among all gambling junkies in here its nice to hear youve been beating them bookies in the last few days . I'm not interested in Boston game that much but I think Celtics is the play, they will bounce back after that ugly blowout loss in game3 , they're not gonna lose 2 games @home , under 195 is worth a play too imo . Best of luck to your plays.

Thank you Sportie!! I'm prepared to suck up the loss on this one but if I don't back the Cavs and they cover Ill be kicking myself. Basically my same motivation for all the plays my gut has told me to make the past few days. And if I lose it, that means a lot of cool guys win. Can't lose there since I'm only risking $300.

Best of luck hun - I hope you kill it today!!!

I like the Cavs as well, but I don't understand why people are making so many parallels to the ATL/ORL series. Boston was in the game late in Game 1, blew out the Cavs in Cleveland in game 2, but did get blown out themselves in Game 3. They have won a game, and had a chance to win another. The Hawks haven't had a prayer at winning a game yet (though they did have a nice lead in Game 2). The Cavs/Boston series has had a blowout on either side, and one close game. I don't understand how comparing the 2 series makes any sense at all. Add to that there is no chance the Celtics absolutely quit like the Hawks have.

Yeah you did. Only read your msg quickly last night because it was so late here but you did save me $150 - bought half my bet back when I got your PM. As I said, I don't mind losing that one since so many on here made some great coin. And I ended up + for the day thanks to the Suns so it worked out in the end.
