Sir Charles is the ONLY reason I watch TNT. I can't remember a more knowledgeable, more free-spirited commentator than Barkley. He's funny and he knows his stuff.

Charles Barkley is pure comedy. He could talk about ordering food at Chipolte and it would entertain.

People in this thread are saying Cleveland are the 2nd or EVEN 3rd BEST. I'd go as far as saying their currently the best team in the NBA, but just like the NFL people won't listen until it actually happens (re: New Orleans winning it all).

Cleveland will defo win this series. Yes they might lose one or two games, their problem will be Orlando, they are the only team that can stop them.

Break it down by position, is Cleveland that much better than Boston?

Obviously Lebron gives them an edge and the addition of Antawn Jamison could be big in this series, but realistically they are not that far apart. Boston could win.

If Cleveland wants to win it all they will have to go through the 3 teams that eliminated them the last 3 years which I do not think is going to be very easy. They could lose any round.

Cleveland won't get all those bogus ass calls that they got like last night against the Celtics, because Boston is a "storied franchise" and that's half the battle. Shaq is old as shit, and will only give you one semi decent game per series. Mo Williams will choke, and Lebron will be dog ass tired from playing 44 minutes per game. And if they happen to get pass Boston, they will get their ass served by Orlando.

Tony Allen and the team defense will give Lebron problems.

He knows nothing about proper substitutions, how to work the refs, when to play guys who are hot (Jemario Moon tonight) versus keeping in Mo Williams who played like shit. It took Lebron to come out publically and say that JJ Hickson needed to play before Brown played Hickson in the last game. Hickson played and put in quality minutes and points going up against Chicago's quick bigs, where Z and Shaq were getting abused. Tonight, he plays Hickson for about 2 minutes. Mike Brown is a horrible In Game coach. He never draws up plays and just sits back and let Lebron run the show.

The Cav's were up 9 points tonight in the 4th and were about to blow the game open but Chicago goes on a 9 point run and he refused to call a timeout with a bad lineup on the court. I can't think of a game where Brown outcoached the opposing coach and that's going up against some average coaches in the NBA. I think he's a good coach in practice and he teaches defense but In Game, he sucks ass.

Him and Mo Williams are the weak links of the team. The Cav's can only go as far as they both take them and I don't think it will be very far.
lol two post earlier you said that you thought cleveland was going to beat boston in five games, but now you think they aren't going very far

I guess your saying they lose to orlando/hawks the next round then i guess?

this is the same boston team that took down cleveland two years ago, yes they are older (although that is a benefit in the case of rondo). They still have game though and this will certainly be a competitive series, boston has a chance.

Lebron James is injured, his shooting arm is completely numb.

Celtics in 5 games and Barkley is literally going to have to sleep in the TNT headquarters, if they will let him.

Another thing. Barkley lost a huge bet last night, you could tell it, he was very frustrated and wasn't as talkative.

Barkley hates that job. Basketball is basketball, the game is over analyzed and Barkley is basically a clown there for us to laugh at in between him and Kenny giving there opinions of who will win. Recently barkley said that dallas would beat the spurs if they reach 100 points. What an in depth analysis Charles, thanks.

The bench is key. Cleveland has a big advantage. The bench is also important because Boston has three starters aged 32 or higher.

Barkley, is a idiot from my homestate of Alabama. He grew up and went to Leeds HS about 30 minutes from me. There are many stories about him locally. He hates the TNT job, but the truth is he is broke from gambling and just blowing money. Charles is as dumb as they come, but he has reached a comic appeal to the masses and that's why TNT keeps him. Make no mistake TNT, ESPN and other major sports networks were created for gamblers and gamblers are not appauled by Barlkey's comments. The average public non-gambler would have nothing for Barkley, but to gamblers his ignorance and mouth are somwhat entertaining and TNT knows this and let's him operate as such.

I agree more with Kenny Smith in this case. Cleveland's the easy pick, but I've mocked Boston all year and they looked as good as they have all year. I don't care if it was Miami, they still exceeded expectations. Boston has a slim chance to win. I doubt more than 2 games are more than 6 points.
