Hawks Team Total Over 97 LOCKED

This series is tied 3-3 and going back to Atlanta. Atlanta just won @ Milwaukee but lost their last game at home, a very rare occurance for the Hawks. The Hawks scored 83 and 87 points their last two games, both those games went way under. Usually the OVER after two UNDERS is the right call in the playoffs. I like the OVER but I always look at the team total of the team I think is going to win before I make that call. After looking at various stats I believe the Hawks team total OVER is the strongest play.

I went back and looked at the Hawks scores and specifically looked for games in which they scored in the 80's or less and what they scored in the next game and if they had a bad scoring night again what they scord in that 3rd game since the Hawks have now gone two straight games scoring in the 80's. Here is the results, the game on the left is the game in the 80's or less and the game in the right is there very next game off the poor scoring night. These were the findings, the Hawks scored OVER 98 in 11 of the 14 games in their very next game. There were two games that they scored poorly after a scoring night, in that next 3rd game they came out and scored 100.

I also like this total for other reasons. This is a game 7 and game 7's tend to go over a lot. The reason being that the team that is down (should be Milwaukee) usually fouls a tonnn even when they are down an amount that they can't come back on. I just really see Atlanta laying the wood and playing great basketball tomorrow. Jamal Crawford had a great game last game and I think he will have carryover effect into this huge game 7 at home with the crowd rocking.

I never mind, any play I don't label heavy/big are 1-2 unit plays. My scale is 1-5 units, big is 4 heavy is 5. I have 1.5 units on this.

Did you entertain the side with ATL? Or is it too high for your liking?

In theory, I think the Hawks cover easy. It's a Game 7, though -- the Bucks aren't quitters, and I still have nightmares of Game 5 dancing through my head.

I definitely think the Hawks is the play, it's probably just as strong as my team total OVER for Hawks but I have done very well this year betting team totals OVER.

The Hawks figured out how to trap Jennings and Salmons off screens, and even with the Hawks low score last game, the bucks could have played better defensively. They gave Crawford every jumpshot. But he's hot, and you can't stop him when he is.

In the last two game 7s the Hawks played (Celtics in 08, they scored 68 points, but that was against the champs in their house, and at home against Miami, they scored 91). Plus all the pressure is on ATL right now. If you don't believe the game is going to be close in the late stages of the 4th, there aren't going to be any fouls.

This total will come down to the wire IMO. What are you projecting right now? I'm assuming 100+. What is keeping me intrigued about possibly tailing you on this play is the Hawks offensive rebounding, and when you do that at home, they're going to get lots of looks from deep after the OR and the quick kick out.

I just expect Atlanta to shoot really well today. You bring up the last two game 7's they played in but this is a different situation. The Hawks have scored in the 80's twice in a row this time. They are just bound for a good offensive game and I like their chances at home in game 7 favored by 9.5. I see them scoring 100+ and Bucks in high 80's

Jazz are pretty damn good but I think the last time the jazz went to lakers they got blown out pretty good and all 6 of their last games with utah in LA, Lakers have won by more than 7 every time, usually 10 or more. Hoping to win on both of these games today.

I am definitely leaning Hawks -9.5. I believe the line is set where it's at for a reason. It came out at -9 and the public pounding Milwaukee yet the line went to -9.5, pretty telling. I can see Atlanta pouring it on in the 3rd and fourth quarter and winning by double digits.

I am staying away from the Lakers/Jazz tonight. There are too many unknowns in the game. I don't know how healthy Deron or Bynum is and both those guys are huge factors. Lean to Lakers as Deron is much more important to his team and home team has dominated in this series.
