PHOENIX TEAM TOTAL OVER 103.5 BIG

Phoenix is coming off their absolute worst shooting/scoring performance of the whole year. They only managed to score a measley 87 points @ POR. I just took a look at how Phoenix faired offensively in their next game when they scored under 100. Take a look at the results. The score on the left is what they scored on the off night socring under 100, and the score on the right is the score immediately after that poor shooting night. In 10 out of 11 games Phoenix drastically increased their points scored in the next game. The average increase in points in these eleven games from the one poor shooting game to the next was +18.1 points If you don't include the one game against ATL, it is an average increase of +21.2 points. The team total is set at 103.5, going by that number 9 out of 11 went over in the next game (one went under by 1.5 points at 101)

97-88 (only bad shooting performance I found after scoring less than 100 was this game against ATL who is a top 10 defense btw, they did win the game though 88-80)

We also have Bill Spooner reffing this game. The average score in games he refs is 207.38, that is the highest total of any ref. It is higher than all other refs by almost two points.

Orlando/Charlotte Over 184 LOCKED

None of the games in this series have gone OVER yet. I think this one will. The total opened up at 182.5 and quickly went to 184. This is a closeout game and you will see a lot of fouling and free throws at the end of the game. I don't really have much more to say about it, this is just a strong gut feeling on this one.

Hey SJ, great insight always. My book doesn't offer a team total, thus was wondering what your thoughts are on the game total of 202. I'm a little apprehensive of taking this as Portland might have trouble keeping up their end of the bargain. do you have any thoughts?

I would lean OVER but I feel the team total has so much more value.

I like the over in the Orlando game too. Last game it was the 2nd quarter that really messed up the over with Orlando only getting 12 points in that quarter. I am with you on this pick and lets hope it cashes tonight

And the suns play at home and after that loss, they will be extra motivated !

I will be on ORL -3.5 too (buying 0.5 point); they are such a good team and they didn't play their best basketball and still won easy all the previous games. They only can lose when they give it away and want to finish the series in ORL, but think they better take a good rest for the next opponent.

I also like ORL team total over 94

Yesterday was a bit cloudy but today the sun (so playing the SUNs is a good sign) will be shining again

Bucks (maybe just first half), I don't know about the Magic today, like SJ's team total for the suns- suns win this game, if they lose to portland its going to be in 7 they're not going down in 6 and we know suns need to put up 100+ to win; Cats Magic 1H over maybe...what are you taking?

Bucks 1st Half +1 LOCKED

More of the same today in Milwaukee. The reason I chose 1st half is because Milwaukee is better in the 1st half and ATL is a better 2H team. I could see Milwaukee up 3-5 points then losing the game outright due to the fact that they don't have good closers, Salmons or a rook in Jennings. Atl has a great closer in Joe Johnson. Milwaukee is 4-1 last 5 ATS at home vs ATL. Atl is probably the worst team in the playoffs on the road, Denver is the only one challenging them on that one.

Salmons is one of the great, underrated closers in the NBA; he's closed out/won/tied many games throughout his entire career with big shots and has been the bucks go to guy this year in the clutch and he has delivered
