The reason appears to be Indiana's improved play as of late. They have won six of seven, and eight in a row at home.

today's version was Portland somehow closing as an 8.5 point favorite in Sacramento. Sacramento is a good home team.

Almost all the strange lines I notice become that way due to movement. The openers are generally pretty reasonable, but then the market drives the lines to absurd places.

A fair line for this game would've been Portland by 4.5 or 5, IMO.

It opening at 6.5 was already high, and then the money to be on Portland?
