Lakers -4.5 ( best value at home in ages)
Let me make it clear i havent made a play on this game yet or might not. Lets be realistic the lakers have struggled the last few games but only on the road. When was the last time the lakers were ONLY -4.5 at home. Are the books telling us the Jazz are the play. It's really hard to bet on LA while they have nothing to play for but 3 baskets at home isnt much for them. Opinions.

maybe disrespecting the lakers because of their recent struggles and overvaluing the JIZZ for their hot ATS streak?

Parlay the Laker's ML with anything else you like on the board. I like the chances.

I like the UNDER better at 204 or higher.

The jazz have been playing out of their minds lately and the lakers went 2-3 on their recent roadtrip. I think the lakers get the win SU here but I'm a bit worried about a jazz backdoor cover.

Not sure. LA is inviting at this short number. Reminds me of the Den game last night. LA is also off a bad road trip agianst a hot team at the moment. Even though this game means little to LA in terms of seeding I would think they would want to send a message to Utah who currently sits at #2.

I agree with you on this. I think they would want to put a beat down on the team that is a serious challenger to their Western Conf dominance. This is a good opportunity for them to send a strong message to the rest of the teams in the west.

have you seen any sign to indicate that the actual lakers players or coaches are panicking? Yes the announcers and fans are getting their panties in a bunch, but that is not what matters!

I don't know if the Lakers just don't care or is the injury to Bynum this big.It seems there bench play has become awful of late and the starters have not been great either. I know not having Bynum in the lineup is big because now they don't get the shot off the bench from Odum who is now starting. Derek Fisher in the starting lineup is a joke and Ron Artest has not been pulling his load by far as of late. The Lakers are the most dominant in games when they are playing Bynum,Gasol, and Odum at the same time as that is 3 true 7' footers that are athletic and long and move well without the ball.

I think I might try some LA ML action as they have owned Utah at home, but I am in hurry to rush out in get it if you know what I mean.

You're buying low with the Lakers, while the Jazz have a stock that's sky-high at the moment.

I know LAL's just returning from a long road trip, but they have to be in desperation mode tonight, don't they?

The lakers will be fine. Like I said, the lakers win SU tonight, just worried about a jazz backdoor cover in the closing seconds of the game.

Excellent points. The injury to Bynum shouldn't be that big of a factor. Artest has a bum ankle. Hopefully it is recovering now and he will play well against the Jazz. Fisher. After the bad road trip, Phil and Kobe should be motivating the team for a champions like effort tonight. I think it will boil down to playing good, solid defense. If denver can do it, the lakers can do it also.

seems like a great line for Lakers to cover at home. In previous matchups Jazz have not come close to covering at LA. Lakers are 8-3 ats at home against utah. Like you said LB the motivation is questionable for LA but I expect them to bounce back at home after two road losses. Even though this is the first game back from the road trip LA should cover just like the Nuggets did last night.

remember that game in december between these teams, Utah down 1 point to start the 4th as double-digit dogs and they got 6 points in the 4th quarter. I'm so not on Utah in this spot.

I can't bet on a team that has nothing to play for. These last few games have proved they just don't care right now and they're all beat up. I just don't see them turning it back on until playoff time.

Kobe has to work so hard to score 30. His age starting to show slightly.

                                              Bynum is a big injury

                                              they miss Areza

Lakers aren't the same team with Bynum out and Odom starting. I don't know what to make of this line yet.

ML is the call. Lakers will go for the win, no doubt. Utah is the 2 seed, LA won't throw this game away like it has no meaning. But winning by 5 against a team with an all world PG? No thanks.

One team is hot, the other doesn't care and is without bynum. I believe the jazz can win this game and that is enough for me to play them. They got motivation, revenge in mind and have been playing great while the lakers have been playing lackluster and seem to not care. I'll wait and take this at gametime and hope for -5 or -6.

Opinions.
they are just a game or 2 ahead of Orlando

I'm sure every team would love to go on a losing stretch into the playoffs. They are in trouble of dropping to #3 overall in the league, and if they "do" make the finals, they won't have home court. With either Cleveland or Orlando making it for the East. So they better get their heads out of their asses and get "motivated".

I think he will show his leadership and the team will come around tonight. I also think there will be a late game cover on the OVER in this game. 105-101 score.
