#37dont understand why public is loving the under here. Do most people who gamble on basketball even watch games. Phoenix put up 150 somthing on minesota the other day and golden has been able to score regularly in the 120 for the past two weeks or so. All i know is this game should go big as long as both teams dont go cold.Comment -

#44News: Curry (ankle) returned to the court Saturday night, but scored only nine points with six assists and four boards in 25 minutes of play.
Spin: Curry was able to play, which is a step in the right direction. But he was obviously not himself and only played 25 minutes, which suggests that he is still dealing with the injury. Keep an eye out to make sure that he did not suffer any setbacks, and if not expect him to start seeing more minutes very soon.Comment -

#45The worst feeling ever it to bet the UNDER on a GSW game. You feel absolutely helpless as they run back and forth and score at will, and at the same time allowing the other team to score at will. I've never seen anything like this before. They allowed the Spurs to score 147 last week, and we all know what kind of an offense the Spurs run at half court. This game will be 260+.Comment -

#48Total of the year gs/phx o/u 243.5
I've already Team Total of the Year with the Nuggets and my College Basketball game of the Year with Wake Forest which were both big winners (so far my only of the year plays). Both of these plays are documented on that other site that I can't mention around here because it will just be erased. Today I give you my Total game of the year!
Phoenix @ Golden State O/U 243.5
The last time I saw a total this high between these two teams (244 O/U 3/15/2009) I thought to myself, "Jesus Christ, the totals between these two teams are always in the 230-237 range, how in the world are they going to score 245+ points combined. The result that night was a 130-154 Phoenix win @ GS. I think this was the highest combined score of any two teams in god knows how long.
Tonight I am asking myself the same question. Three out of the last four games between these two teams have gone under including their last game in Phoenix which only combined for 215 and went wayyy under the posted total of 233. The last O/U between these two teams all average to around 234.
So what does Vegas do tonight admist these two teams going under mostly lately and going way under last game? THey put out the highest total ever in the last 2 years at 244. Sure enough the public is pounding this total to the tune of 75% on the under, 25% on the over.
Ok now why do I absolutely love this play? Well the fact that this total is so much higher than all the others is a huge sign to me to take the over. Why would Vegas put this total so high knowing that the public will for sure be on the under? My answer is because they think it's going to be a high scoring affair. Now why do I think it's going to be a high scoring affair? It's pretty plain and simple, Golden State has been allowing EVERYONE to score at will on them lately. The biggest exampleo of this was just 3 days ago when they allowed the Spurs, who are by no means a great offensive team, score 147 points on them. They also allowed N.O to score 130 on them twice in the last month, another team that isn't so hot on offense. Now here come in the Suns who are THE high scoring team in the NBA, who are really feeling themselves lately winning their last 4 games. I don't see any reason why the Suns won't score at least 130 points on GS. I think GS will be themselves at home and also go out there and score 120+ especially since they have had a extra day of rest for this game and have Monta, Steph, and Maggette all healthy for tonight.

#54You make a very good argument to the under just be careful Warriors games have averaged over 240 L5 and the Suns are the one team that likes to run with them. Warriors play nooooooo defense. Good luck.Comment -

#55This is exactly what I did last time the total was 244, I swear they were on pace to score 300 6 minutes into the 1st quarter. Track back the play by play from that game. I was killing myself for just staying away from the total that night.Scared money don't make money

#57I have made this my biggest bet last nite for tonites card. I love the over for all the reasons you mentioned and i am on the same page with you. I would not be shocked if these teams approach 300 pts tonite. The pace will be there for 300 pts, if the shooting is there you might see something in the historical range.Comment -

#58i might have to aggree with you on this one. the problem would be even if the suns score 130, can the warriors score 115?!?!? this total is more realistic if steph curry is playing imo. the suns didn't shoot well at all last night, especially the 3 ball, so I think they come out on fire tonight

don't fool yourself bro-that was against a good team that plays defense and dictates a slower pace.. there will not be either tonite. the pace will be there to go over the total easily-just a matter of how many shots are made.Last edited by lyon804; 03-22-10, 10:48 AM.Comment -
