People talk about how this is actually a good thing for the bookie. People get screwed with things like this all the time IMO (especially online).

3 things can happen:


1. You win and get your money.
2. You win and they decide after the fact that the bet is void.
3. You lose and...well you lose.

When you make a normal bet only 1 and 3 apply. The bookies aren't going to look back on a bet they lost and decide it doesn't count b/c you got it in a bit late. Not really worth the 2-0 advantage if you ask me...

Very good point. A fair book should honor a bet like this - however a line that is still posted at half time - that gets into a gray area.

this has been happening to me in the NBA every night had clippers -10.5 they are up 17 with ball less than 3 min left, and Portland blows 25 point lead last night

Yeah, i've had some bad losses as of late. Especially in the last 3 games i've happened to watch. Had Atlanta -5 over GS. Were up by 18 or 20 late in 3rd, lose by 4. Had Portland -1.5 up by 25 in 3rd end up losing. Had dallas -9.5 today. Up 18 with 2 mins left, game ends on 11-2 or 9-0 run or something and lose by half a point. Had 2 units on each game, not soo terrible but jesus. I watched all these games all the way through...so frustrating haha.

Sorry to hear that FSU. I had the same thing happen to me a few months ago. I was able to live bet a play that was still on the board all the way up to halftime. The live bet was like 13 points better than taking a half point line in a CFB game. Come on, I had to take that bet as the team was already up big. Sure winner right?? Well you guessed it, I got back doored and lost big time. Boy did I feel suckered on that one. It was like the book set me up to hammer that play
