NBA all star game is a joke

This is a worthless game imo, you have the best of the best and the game is treated like a pickup game. I would love to see home court advantage given to the winnning conferance in the finals, would raise the stakes. Its hard enough getting these guys to lay it out on the line each night, game is a complete circus. I would love for these guys actually to give a fukk, wonder what would the over/under be then if they cared???

I agree with you for sure. The only all star game where the players try is baseball and that was the case before the home field advantage rule came in. The game is boring and not worth watching.

the baseball all star game is cool because you can play one baseball game like you actually care and not put a lot of risk of unnecessary miles on your body. therefore, you can approach it with pride and put forth effort. i can understand why games like the pro bowl or the nba all star game are played out like a joke, but i think the main way you'd get effort is just what shoe said...give the advantage to the winning conference in the finals. until there's some sort of prize it will always be approached as a joke.

this weekend always kinda sucks, right now i'm checking in on the dayton/saint louis game and hoping it goes over 118. i always do something stupid with no nba on tap.

What fan wouldn't want to see the best talent in the world actually care? Imagine if they played hard defense took charges, boxed out, and had some competitive energy? If your a fan and you like it now imagine what it could be? One of the most anticipated games of the year, it could work too.

How is the all star game worthless and boring? You get to see guys do fancy plays and things you dont see in a regular game. Its fun to watch. Sucks guys are injured but will still be fun to watch. Remember one year shaq shot a 3. funny stuff. just have fun with it.
