My NBA thread is now 75-52-2. (59.06%) (+23.2 units) (+$2,320).
8ball that had to have hurt the bank roll a little, the Celtics were -400 or so on the money line last I checked. But if you have been following me you should have built that roll up a little this season

Hopefully we can add a little more before the sun sets on basketball for the 09/10 season. On to tonight. I like the Lakers to wake back up and play some defense. They will also try to slow the game down.

Hey Q, yeah it hurt. Plus I had a 2x parlay with the phliers that night. Worst part is I was gonna be on the Suns and Magic the last 2 games, but being in the middle of W.V., for some camping, I no played. Just money right? Any thoughts on tonight?

My NBA thread is now 76-53-3. (58.92%) (+23.1 units) (+$2,310). 8ball you will win it back, we still got games this season to do it. Tonight the Lakers will get the win, but 7.5 is very steep. The computer sims say LA has a slight edge even giving away the points. Lakers win and cover is my gut feeling as well, so that is the play.

My NBA thread is now 76-54-3. (58.46%) (+21.0 units) (+$2,100). The Lakers finally break the home winning trend tonight, and give the NBA front office what they have wanted all along, a Celtics/Lakers NBA Final. Plus good value with the Lakers being plus money tonight on the money line.

That being said I have thought the Lakers would dominate at home in this series and win in 6 from the start. I wouldn't be risking 4 units on them to win the series if i thought otherwise. Game 2 should be interesting. I think the line will be somewhere around 6 again.

We will see what happens, Allen won't get off like that again in this series. He is a great shooter, but that was a lot of luck.

The Lakers money line is the play tonight, at +125 I believe there is great value. Allen will not have the night he did Sunday, and even though I expect Pierce and Garnett to get a few more it will not be enough. The Lakers bigs have not been stopped yet by Boston's front line. Same will happen tonight.

With you quick. I also think KG is hurt. His play shows it, and when he's on the bench, he is often rubbing his right shoulder. (Could be drama bullshit, but who knows). I also don't see the lakers, NBA, or vegas letting this end in 5, so I will just chase/double the lakers ml in boston until boston loses. Good luck bud.

Well, so much for my KG theory. I'll take the 10x (even though I pussed out and took the 2 1/2 points though). Good call on the ml Q. I gotta think Boston does not get swept at home now. I'm thinking Celtics ml with a chase if they lose.

The glaring problem for the C's is they have no answer for the Laker bigs. That really has been the only consistent aspect of the game for all three so far.

Here again the Lakers have tremendous value tonight on the money line at +165. In fact some computer sims have the Lakers winning at a higher % than the C's for tonight's game 4. So lakers ML it is again. I am not saying they are a lock to win, but I'd say they win this game 50% of the time, and at +165 that is value.

Hey Q, you have made me some money here, so I would like to return the favor. If you bet the LA series tonight, and back it with a bet for half that amount in game 7 on Boston ml, you will basically be getting LA tonight at even odds. I can explain it more, but I doubt I need to.

I like it magic8ball......The sims are saying Celtics will cover the spread but my gut is the Lakers winning tonight is one of the most sure things we have seen in the NBA all season long. I don't think 6 or 6.5, what ever you can get it at, will be a problem. The powers at be want an epic game 7, I see the refs being very pro LA tonight.

Back on June 1st we laid 3.8 units on the Lakers to win the series, winning 2 units (-190). I thought long and hard about taking the Celtics and the 7 points in game 7 trying to hit the middle, thinking the C’s will keep it close. But I am not sure that will happen. Well free money is hard to pass up, so the Celtics money line will be the play for tomorrow. At +280 right now I am laying 1.5 units on the Celtics money line. If the Celtics win it’s a 4.2 unit take, netting .4 units. If the Lakers win the take is still 2 units, we will net .5 units. I think the Lakers will win this, but guaranteed money is hard to come by in this game, so take it when you can. So sit back and enjoy the last game of the season knowing you win either way.

Already stated the bet in the post above, but If I didn't already have the win/win set up I would be going Celtics +7 tonight. I think LA will win, but I think it will be a defensive battle as both teams will give it their all. In a low scoring affair 7 points is a lot to give. Plus you can never count out the best defensive team in the league, which is the Celtics. Value is on Boston and the points tonight.

Went 1-1 on purpose yesterday, winning .5 units. That brings the season to a close with my NBA thread going 81-59-2. (57.86%) (+21.65 units) (+$2,165). Not a bad take for the thread and the season. Congrats to all who tailed and cashed, we will do it again next season. On to baseball full time.
