When you you people get it... Everyone is always on the Lakers. No matter the spread. They could have been -20, and everyone would be on the Lakers. So looking at percentages the the Lakers get is irrelevant. They are the public team in the NBA.

Just like Cowboys in the NFL.

People bet them no matter what the spread, b/c they have more fans nation wide than you can imagine. Hell go to China, and Kobe is worshiped there.

At matchbook, the line dropped from -8.5 to -8. The odds were on Lakers (+102, +103..etc). If Lakers are public play why would the books want more action on Lakers?

I figured out why the line was like that all day... Lakers know they can beat the Wizards whenver they are ready. Since the Lakers also play again tommorow on the road they will expend as little energy as possible to get the W here... The Lakers get paid to win, not cover spreads. With this attitude if I am correct makes 8 points seem huge. We all know if the Lakers are interested tonite they could beat the Wizards by 20pts+ on the road with no problem. Hell, La's bench is about as good as Washington's starters.
