Are you kidding me? I know Portland's a westcoast team but they're good...
shouldn't the spread be like 4.5?

I wonder if it will come to a point when the bookies make early payments on bets because LB says they will lose.

Even with Roy out and KG in you'd have to be nuts to take BOS -10. 12 other games boys.

that's more of a reason to bet on Portland IMO...KG's probably gonna play limited mins and will be rusty, meanwhile Roy's backup is gonna have something to prove as do the rest of the Blazers...I see the Blazers covering.

The line is an attempt by the books to sensationalize Roy's absence and KG's return. You may do well to recall that a KG-inclusive Boston lost the last meeting to a Roy-less Portland! People may be lured into playing Boston because of the deceptive record of the last 9 meetings. Boston are 8-1 ATS in the L9 meetings. But Portland was never an underdog of more than 8 points in those 9 meetings. We're also at a point in the season when it's risky to back DD favorites. For me, it's either Portland +10 or pass.

It's usual. The last time these 2 teams met, Roy was out, KG played for Boston, yet Portland won SU.
This is one more attempt by the books to steal money from an unsuspecting public. Why did Roy's absence coincide with KG's return for Boston? They'll do all they can to highlight Roy's absence and get folks to buy into Boston -10. And you know what will happen next. Or don't you? Portland covers easily!

I like your way of thinking, but I just think it's twisted the wrong way... With my job pub hat on I love Portland here, same as anybody else. Boston has been scuffling as of late.. I don't care what the injuries are you wouldn't expect to see a line this high. I think the line is high!!!
That being said from my experience it's Celtics or no play.. Everybody loves Portland and I think the books intended that way. Look at the percentages man nobody is betting Boston here!!! Go with Boston or stay away!!

Rudy Rudy Rudy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is why the Blazers will beat the overrated celts. Kg coming back doesn't mean anything the guy hasn't played in forever and will prob get like 10-15 mins. Take the points and take the sportsbook money

Yea, I like Boston here. SS,I have lost alot of money in my career trying to assign values to a line... My point is this... Almost evertime in my life rather it was baseball, football, or basketball gambling that I thought a line was high or expensive it almost always wins... I think Boston is high, too many points!! Thats all the cappin I have for you guys here.
Take Boston minus whatever.. the more the better.
I am not trying to say to this forum this is a lock or a sure fire winner, but if you play the favorite everytime when you think the line is way too high you will win more than you loose.. TRUST ME!!!!

Atlanta Hawks look expensive to me also with my Joe Pub hat on. We have all watched Atlanta down trend as of late.. Lost S/U at home to OKC, barely beat a haplesss road Suns team that took a buzzer beater shot. On the flip side we have seen Charlotte has been mudering teams at home to the tune of 2 victories in the last week of 40pts against quality opponents?????????? Now they are catching 7 points????? albeit on the road, but still!! WOW!!! The books are telling me Atlanta is the play. Looks like too many points for Atlanta to be favored by so I imagine that is a good play.
Take Atlanta minus whatever.. the more the better.
Now, I know this line of thinking goes against popular opinion, but over time it will serve you well. Hell, those picks might go 0-2 tonite.I have been offer many times in my career, but over the long run this way of thinking is what wins. Trust me I have done the other most of my career and lost at it.
Now, I am not saying this is the be all end all in sports betting, but for some of you. Especially new guys you might incorporate this way of thinking. There are many things to learn and you will spend a lifetime learning them if you want to be good. Almost everyday when I get my ass kicked on a pick i asked myself.... "WFT, what happened here" Everytime you lose ask yourself.. WTF??? Over time you will begin to weed out more and more of your losers. This game is not about picking winners.... It's about weeding out losers and MM. A blind man is gonna pick some winners, but who can weed out their losers??

i think people can't get off of them because a few years ago when they won it all they blew everyone out and covered in a lot of games...they're a totally different team now...they don't have as much to prove...I think it's obvious they "blew their load" the year they won it all
