Same shit every time and the refs keep calling fouls no matter what. Fukkin joke. I watched this in the east finals last year. Seems like cavs havent improved much.

You're right, he passes and doesn't alienate teammates.

He had a great 4th no doubt. Why was he the one throwing the inbounds passes - ask Mike (retard) Brown.

LOL williams tough one for your boys- kobe has a shiny hand with 4 rings- lebron will never get that- he is a glorified running back playing in the NBA . I guess that commercial with him on the browns is what he should really do. Kobe is a winner and leader he coached the lakers last year . There is no discussion neccessary here.

The logic is that Lebron is 6'9" and can see over everyone to make the pass, plus you trust him with the ball. However, I agree that he should have been the one shooting instead. They should have had Parker handle the inbounds passes.

Parker made some critical mistakes down the stretch tonight with is uncharacteristic for him. He missed 2 important free throws and committed a very poor foul on Ronnie Brewer.

I disagree strongly and will be glad to argue Kobe/Lebron with you anytime you wish To call Lebron a glorified running back makes you look very uneducated extremely biased when it comes to basketball.

Im not interested in arguing with you williams. Also for you to say that im uneducated in basketball really makes you look foolish considering what i have done on this forum. I dont need basketball education but if you want i can help give you some moneymaking education from basketball. I am a player and i make opinions and if you disagree no biggie for me. You dont like Kobe and i dont like Leborn. No big deal- the NBA will get Lebron his ring all the big stars do.

I corrected my original post to say very biased, as uneducated was not entirely correct. Also, just because you have had a very nice run lately does not make me believe your understand of basketball is masterful. You make many of your picks (most from what I've heard from others) based on line movements. I'm the first to admit, I'm no great gambler, and, in fact, I haven't been laying my own money on games for a few months now. I'll gladly call you a better gambler, but it doesn't make me take your opinions as the end-all, be-all.

In the spirit of good discussion, let's start a Kobe/Lebron debate thread.

Thanks Williams you are a good guy. One thing you must understand( i take it your young) gambling isnt about what you think is going to happen. The books have this stuff down pat and would be out of business if they didnt. When i was young like you i used to predict events and i learned over time you cant do that for profit. I let the books do my job for me and i use them as aids in my quest to make $$$. At least you can admit you are chilling about gambling some guys would keep saying they are winning when they arent. Please let me tell you one thing though. I am not on a run. I am a pro. I have been doing this for 20 years my friend. I took my lumps but now i cash all the time. You wont see me going into losing runs for more than a day or 2. I have been a winning gambler for years . I know how this game is played and i play accordingly. As for the kobe/Lebron debate there isnt much for me to debate. Kobe has won 4 NBA championships and Lebron has none. What is there to debate? Stats? Kobe plays for the Lakers and we always get our way- ask Rick Adelman and the 2002 Kings.

Certainly your approach to gambling seems to be successful. I first began gambling because there are many sports (namely anything not called the NBA) that I find to be incredibly boring, unless I put money on them. Luckily I was disciplined enough to withdraw my funds once the NBA season got started as I know I get plenty of pleasure simply watching games (mostly the Cavs).

As for the Kobe/Lebron debate...If you are taking about who is the better player right now it is Lebron hands down. I consider myself a student of the game and will be starting my coaching career fairly soon. Lebron's intangibles are absolutely off the charts, not to mention he possess a leadership ability that Kobe will never come close to having (just ask Team USA who elected Lebron as captain). I gotta say, I'm kinda disappointed that you aren't willing to have an actual debate on this, as I have yet to find a person who can really give a solid case for Kobe (once we get past the cliched "4 rings" of course).

Keep up the good work man. Come a Cavs/Lakers finals we may have to put some money on the line.

It doesn't bother me that Lebron uses his running back move over and over because basketball IS a contact sport and if you are bigger and stronger than the guy guarding you then you should take advantage. What bothers me is that he consistently gets the call when he is the one who initiates the contact. He runs full speed into the lane and always gets the call when there should be a no call imo.

All big stars get more calls. i.e. Monte Ellis never gets shit.. great player, but will never get half the calls Kobe will.

The refs make those calls in order to enable them cash their player props bets.

Lebron takes more contact than any other player in the league, period. Also, he doesn't flop to the floor like Wade or Kobe. Instead, he always tries to turn it into an And-1, which sometimes means that the contact doesn't appear to be nearly as much as he is actually getting hit. Ever seen Lebron post up? Defenders are allowed to push him with their full strength, yet he gets a charge called any time he takes a hard dribble back at them.

Regardless of the calls, Lebron finishes at the rim better than any player in the NBA. There is not a single player (in the history of the NBA) who has better touch around the rim or is able to absorb more contact and still score than Lebron. He finishes with both hands incredibly well.

Furthermore, his game has developed greatly since he came into the league. He has always been one of the top 5 passers in the league (and I would argue the best), but now he has added a reliable jumper to his arsenal along with a budding (though still the weakest aspect of his game) post-game.

Oh yeah, and he's the best fastbreak player the NBA has ever seen.

Kobe has a pure shot, Lebron doesn't. how many times do you see Lebron miss critical shots? I had the Warriors monday night against the Cavs , late in the 4th Lebron shoots a 3 (and it woulda killed my spread) but I wasn't nervous because I knew it was Lebron and he couldn't close out the game. they still won though. but when the Cavs played at Denver- Lebron had isolation and decides to shoot a 3- and airballed, they didn't win that. of course Kobe misses his shots but the point is Lebron is a scorer, a very good one but he doesn't close out a game like Kobe does, and that is huge. There is soo much hype around Lebron it's disgusting, everytime he does that stupid powder thing with his hands just annoys me- and that makes sportscenter all the time, also there was one shot block earlier this year, against the Thunder I believe and Lebron swatted it away. first of all I thought it was goaltending, looked like it was coming down. but everyone ranted adn raved about it. so what, impressive jump- yes it even got to the point where the tv chick interviewed him before halftime and asked "what was that block all about?" i'm sitting in my chair yelling; it's a basketball game; the object is to score and not let the opponent score against you, he's playing basketball for crying outloud don't make it more than what it is and to his credit he answered; "I'm protecting my teamates" just say you're playing defense; simple tells the story but there has to be this whole "Lebron is a king" thing going, which by the way he was crowned this king after playing high school basketball. so what a guy 9 inches taller than everyone else dunks all over a bunch of 17 year-old-pimple-faced-teenagers, that's what he got crowned for and the hype hasn't died since.

anyone else get annoyed by the Lebron highlights all over TV?

                                            Kobe hands down.

You wouldn't want me to pull up "clutch" stats would you? How about game-winning shot statistics? Kobe fans constantly go back to this argument, yet have absolutely no clue what Lebron and Kobe's actually stats are in end-of-game situations. Also, have you seen Lebron jumper this year? Much more balance and a better follow-through. The result is that Lebron is shooting a career-high 51% from the floor and 36% from 3. Kobe is shooting 47% and 31% respectively.

Lebron came into the league with more hype than any NBA player has had to deal with. Not only has he exceeded expectations, but he has handled himself both on and off the court in a professional manner. Kobe can hardly say the same.

Dwight Howard takes the most contact in the league period. You have those Cavs sunglasses on and can't see the truth.

To say Lebron's game is ugly is absurd. How many 12 for 32 nights do I have to watch from Kobe? He's a volume shooter, plain and simple. Lebron possesses the best courtvision the league has seen since Magic. Kobe gets assists when he gets trapped and has to pass. To even compare the two when talking about passing is insulting to Lebron.

And if you don't think Lebron works hard you are out of your mind. Each season he comes back with at least one aspect of his game vastly improved. Have you seen his jumper this year compared to last? It's night and day. The media shows Lebron joking around all the time because that's what plays well in the media. Ask any player on Team USA how hard Lebron work and how good of a leader he is and you will see. Coach K said he has greater leadership qualities and basketball IQ than anyone he has coached, including Jordan.

Kobe alienates his teammates plays to their detriment. In poll of taken by NBA players of who they would most like to play with Lebron won overwhelmingly. He makes everyone around him better and everyone enjoys playing with him.

I ask you this, if you were to put Lebron on the Lakers in place of Kobe, would they be better or worse? I have seen my fans, players, coaches, and analysts asked this question and they all agree that the Lakers would improve. That is the true test of a great player.

Oh, you mean when Kobe was playing with the best PF in basketball?

Put Lebron on the Lakers and they instantly improve. If you don't believe that, you don't know basketball.
