LAL - now I know Im not retarded....
Always thought something was up with the Lakers and their home games.... Now I see that currently they are.... 17-3 (14-2 @ home)
As I have said befioe, Im pretty much a virgin when it comes to betting hoops - (only been betting for a year) betting for or against LAL ATS has never been a favorite of mine.....
But when the defending champs have played 20 total games, 16 of them on home court?!
Something aint right here or Ièm really retarded when it comes to NBA.

Have the Lakers really played at home 16 out of 20 times

yes they have. that's why they're looking really good right now (dont get me wrong, they are good no question) so pheonix, utah, oralando and boston are right up there with LA

regardless of how many home gms they have played phx and utah are no where close to being in the same class as lake show. orl and bos certainly closer but come on you think in a 7 game series phx or utah has any shot?

in a 7 game series, pheonix maybe no. but i think Jazz can hang with them, Boston can, Orlando -- not with the pay they played against Utah last night and the way they're playing Phx tonight (2Q)

I personally don`t care... But on a fans level - wtf is that shit..... You JUST won the championship last year, then get fed 16 out of 20 at home to start the season...(my question mark aint working-ÉÉÉÉ)
If that`s not an advantage for the Lakers I don`t know what is.... Might as well say ``We want you to win again``

i understand what your saying but at some point there going to have a uneven amount of road gms. its all a non-factor to me because at the end of the day either way they are going to be 1 of the top seeds in the west

i dont know if you look at it LAL has really had it easy, they played Utah (and Phx i believe) on either the head/tail of a B2B situation (for Utah and Pheonix, with Lakers @ home), with the lakers having 1,2,3 days rest. i dont know, it looks kinda shady from a fan's perspective, but i do agree that it'll balance out later in the season. that's why you hear pau gasol saying they shouldnt be complacent and they have not yet proven that they can perform this well on the road.

if they had an even 50% home/road ratio, the LAL would probably have 2-3 more losses. which puts them around the same record as ORL/PHX

it is what it is then, and I call em like I see em.... 2 words come to mind - IRONIC and FARCE.

I should put 1K on LAL to win this shit now because apparently thats what the National Basketball Assosciation wants to see.

Would you rather play a bunch of home games in the beginning of the year or at the end when you're battling for seeding? Not much of an advantage IMO. It wont matter though cuz they'll be the 1 or 2 seed regardless...

wait until the lakers get on the road. hope they lose a couple and then get some value on them

I don`t wanna beat a dead dog here, but to hand a team who just won IT last year the homiest schedule out there to start the season... that aint right.
                                16 of 20 at home.......
                                Whats the closest comparison

I dig NFL football, and this year there were 4 teams facing 3 or more teams (in a row) directly off their bye. I would equate 16 of 20 at home to a similair fate. Their is an obvious imbalance in these situations.

In these situations I`ve noticed they never seem to `favor` the underdog - always the `favorite`team. In the NFL games this year, you think NE, PIT, IND, NYG, PHI etc (fan favorites) had to play those back-to-back-to-back`s vs teams coming off their bye - of course not. Closest thing to a `fan fav`was ATL.

LAL hasn`t won it it a while, why not make it easier for them.... oh wait....

Now Im just rambliing, drunk and pissed off... **** I hate the Yankees, the Lakers, New England anfd the lot
