Firedude - this is the last thing I'll say to you about it. The amount I lost didn't hurt me at all - still up +29 for the week so it's not about my getting emotional.
It's about coming into a thread, where you know people are here for LB's thoughts on the games and plays, and a few of us are here all the time whether LB has posted a play or not. Posting a size 400 font of a guy dancing when you know you're the only one who hit the play IN HERE - are you trying to tell me that you could not find any other thread on here, or even started your own, to post that? That's crap and you know it.
Either way, I don't care. It's gambling. Nothing's guaranteed and that's the whole point. You winning that under is as big of a fluke as us losing the over so I'm not too sure I'd be dancing around like that. It was sheer luck, plain and simple.
Anyway, thanks as always LB for your input and your plays. It was by far the right call on the game - just can't trust these NBA dudes to always come through with what 'should' happen at the moment.
Tonight we got screwed bigtime by the hook. Tomorrow, we'll do the screwing.

Furthermore, I would truly be shocked if LB said the over was the wrong side. The wrong side does not have 69 pts in the first I can promise you. The wrong side does not have a bunch of missed layups and free throws. And honestly, there is something fishy about how that last four minutes played out. Guys it happens, thats why its called gambling. Make sure you can afford to lose your unit size and you will be ok. I was up over 40 units this week with baseball and basketball, today i lost half of it. Who gives a sh1t, im up 20 units still. Everyone will bounce back and fuk the books during the playoffs. Sorry guys cant win em all. Very tough loss but we take the fixes when they help us and we need to accept them when they screw us. Kevin Martin obviously needs the extra flow- i mean didnt you guys see him look around before hitting the front of the rim
Anyways im on break till the playoffs begin. Too much money being made by refs and players right now and its hard to know who is on what.

Yep, I hear you. I'll be back in tomorrow to see the boys and maybe make a tiny play here and there but the NBA is just too messed up at the moment.
I've gotten lucky this week with the majority of the plays I did make other than the Nuggets and this one and I'm thinking it's time to take my money and run.

Knowing the Warriors came back to make that tool eat his words again is about the only positive I have coming from tonight.
I had 15U on over 222.5 and another 5U teasing the overs in Phoenix and Golden State. Had one more FT been hit my bank roll would have been at a personal high and I was planning to withdraw about 2/3 of it the next day. Instead, well I'm not sunk but I've lost most of the profit from a very good week. I didn't watch the second half of the game and think it's probably better that I didn't, because I know I would have been very pissed off. As it is I took it easy, spent the night with my girl and only found out afterwards on my phone how close it came. Well.. shit. The funny thing is I'm not even that mad, it's just making me think a lot. I think the biggest reason for this is my bankroll wasn't quite as low as I expected because the GS 2nd half over hit.
But I guess what I'm getting at is I could have sweated the game for another hour, smashed my computer and pulled my hair out at the end, but instead I just relaxed. I think this is a strategy I'm going to employ a lot more from now on, especially with over/unders, cause they're just brutal. If there's a game I really want to watch I'll probably watch it, but I'm going to stop pretending I'm "protecting my bet" by watching how it goes, because it really has no benefit. Most people watching their bets just get way too confident (see Diesel) or way too desperate (I can be guilty of that too) to the point that it isn't much fun anymore. And regardless of what our bankrolls say I really think if we don't get some joy out of the games we're watching it's all pointless -- don't you?
I'm looking forward to playoffs like everybody else and am glad we've got LB's thread here to share our opinions. I also hope LB plans on making some
playoff picks (though I won't be betting on his Flyers -- go NJ!!
