yes, i love him but doesnt mean we will always agree. Lb liked WV to take it all when the tourney started, he made it this far. i just think Duke will be too much for them.

Cause you pay unnecessary juice. If you are hitting 53% you are hurting yourself with losses. 53% on 500 plays at -110

235 losses for 25850

profit off 650


if you buy points on 20 % of your plays and keep that 53% this is what happens


265 wins for 26500
235 losses with 47 of them at -120 = 5640 on the 47 + 20680 on the -110 = 26320 in losses

total profit of 180 dollars


and thats buying only a half pt. your win % doesnt go up by buying points- the idea is to beat the closing line not buy points.

Ok. I see. The way I see it is the lines get so sharp towards the end of the season, and especially in the playoffs, that any edge gained is for the best. Although I have noticed that when I buy points, when the play wins, it would have almost always won anyway. And when the play loses, it would have almost always lost anyway. However, there are a few that win which would have been a lost without buying points. It probably doesn't make up for the added juice you pay on a loss, but I think you have to hit 60% if you buy 2 points on every play. Just a different school of thought I suppose. Buying points is just the way I was taught, although I know alot of people NEVER buy points. To each his own I suppose.
