COMMENTS: THE NBA ROAD SEASON IS COMPLETED FOR THE SEASON AND FINISHED WITH RECORD OF 125 - 1 MISSING A PERFECT SEASON BY ONE-HALF POINT WITH A PUSH IN THE PHIL ROAD SERIES BACK IN NOVEMBER. IND PLAYED A HUGE ROLE FOR US IN 4 CRITICAL SERIES IN THE LAST WEEK OF THE SEASON.

Great run great concept. Thanks for posting the month in advance. For anyone interested it really helped me to go the ESPN web site and register (free), and you can have them send you quarter alerts to remind you when and if to play the second half. Can't wait until next year. I only wish it were a 3 game chase, a bit less stressful LOL

I was able to follow this thread since February. I switched to the 3 game chase in March. 100, 200, 400. When we lost 3 in a row, I just divided the loss over the next four series. A three game chase would have been easier to follow earlier in the season. It did get harry at the end of March when the Pacers lost game three on 3/26 and 3/30 for me, and I only had a few series left. But I just had to cut my losses on the last series, and bet 250 on the second half of the 3/30 Pacers game. Next year I think I'll just bet smaller half way through March, so I can capture everything in a 6 game chase.

Summary of the season:

The road system finished the season with a 125 - 1 series record and i finished my season with a 120 - 1 record when i reached the goal of 80 units won. Although the system had an outstanding record, it had more rough spots than i preferred but i have never had a losing record with it and this is over 7 seasons.

Review of the system: We are betting that a road team can not cover every half of the last 3 games of a road trip and you must commit 150 to 200 units and be willing to put up nearly half on any one play and if you are not willing to risk it then forget it.

I understand the lack of interest in this thread. I mentioned on several occassions that this type of wagering is not for everyone and you need the right mindset to do this. I said in jest that you do not have to be insane to do this but it could help!!!

solaman everyone wants a penny stock that goes to 100 a share and if that does happen they keep walking. nobody wants to save $5 a day and in 30 years be a millionaire. if it doesn't happen right now and if you have to take risks people run. systems of various kinds are how you beat this game. you need parameters and a plan, nobody wants to use these. starting with $10 bet unit or less even sounds ridiculous to most but just ask sam walton if he started with 5000 stores. if you do not have a plan or realistic expectations you will never succeed in life without luck or knowing a bunch of people that want you to succeed because it helps them (i.e obama). that cat wouldn't have won shit if people that had an agenda didn't put him there, if you think different good luck. anyway solaman you are the man and i continue my quest to add units to my bankroll, which is all that matters.

But OMG, I've just realized that every series and half time bets I've played so far have been with the road teams and I guess it's just dog luck that all the series I've happened to play so far have won. I definitely understand the logic explained in your 2nd post though to bet against the weary road team, and I plan to follow the strategy tonight taking Dallas

Interesting (but profitable) mistake !!!

Just wondering Solaman if you (or anybody else) has back tested the HALF GAME series chase using it the other way around !!!
In other words playing the AWAY TEAM to cover the HALF SPREAD.
Now I perfectly understand that the original system is based on the fatigue "Road Weary" factor. However, perhaps if one played the high road win SU percentage teams they might be motivated to win at the START of the 3 game series rather than waiting for the second, third or fourth game of a 4, 5 or 6 game away series to start.

I'll try to do some back test with this idea and post results but I have limited time right now. If there is anybody else who wants to run the numbers too that would be great and then we can compare notes. Just a thought.
