    Clippers at Dallas
There's no line for this game yet. The Clippers are still red hot and Dallas is going into rest mode, imo. Even with their full lineup, they haven't been themselves at home recently:

    Portland W 86-74
    New York W 105-103
    Milwaukee W 105-103
    Boston W 106-101
    New Jersey W 102-89
    Orlando W 103-98
    Cleveland W 95-92

That speaks for itself, imho. That's an incredible 1-6 against the spread and keep in mind that Dallas was playing with their full lineup (except for the Portland game) and seemingly going all out in these games. Please note that none of the teams above are nearly as good as the Clippers are right now (Jay Edgar has them ranked fourth in POWER RATINGS OVER LAST TEN GAMES).

In their last game, Dallas played without Josh Howard and Jerry Stackhouse and Dirk Nowitzki played only 26 minutes. I look for this trend to continue, Dallas should learn a lesson from Detroit last year and rest up.

Meanwhile, this is a huge game for the Clippers. I think it's an exhibition game-type situation for Dallas.

    Any thoughts on this game?

Hey man, I posted somethin about this game in IMG's thread and must have missed this one last night... I REALLY happen to like the Clippers +8 tonight... I know the Mavs haven't wrapped up home court throughout the playoffs yet, but they will get it anyways... Clippers are probably the hottest team in the West right now besides maybe the Nuggets... What do you think about the Nuggets -6.5 tonight against a Lakers team that has been struggling badly lately and is fresh off an up and down game with the Suns yesterday??? I think I'm rollin on the Clips for sure though!

I passed on this game myself.

I just have to question how much incentive that Dallas might have in this game though. My numbers point to the Mavs here, but no way I'm playing them.

I would only bet Denver on the money line, it's a personal rule of mine never to go chalk. I don't like Denver enough to play the game because quite frankly, I'm not sure if they would rather play San Antonio or Phoenix in the playoffs. If they want to play Phoenix, they might throw this game (this applies to the Lakers as well). Las Vegas insider is reporting that Stackhouse and Howard are questionable. Is there any news about that? I think I like the Clippers +8 as well.

Anyone who took the Clippers in this game might want to make a half time to bet to offset the first bet. The Mavs are are playing to win, Howard and Stackhouse are back (I didn't expect that).

This game is right on the line now. If the Mavs break it open a little, I'm afraid the Clippers might pack it in with another road game tomorrow night.

My advice: drop the Clippers now if you took them +8, too much risk here with Dallas playing at full strength (again, I wasn't expecting that).

I think Dallas will tank in 4Q. They don't want to help (and play GS in the first round).

One thing I've learned from sports betting: never try and guess a team's motivation. Who knows what they're thinking?

Yeah, did not expect Dirk to log so many minutes and same on J-Howard. Very costly assumption on my part.
