YTD 32-26
1) Washington -5
Wizards are starting to regroup with the return of Jamison and after a closs win over the Warriors (107-106) on Sunday afternoon, I look for Washington to return to form offensively. Jamison shot 7-16 FG/3-8 FT vs Golden St on Sunday. A bit sluggish , but expected returning off of an injury. First games back are always tough and playing vs the Raptors should only help Washington. Raptors biggest problem is rebounding, where the Wiz have an obvious advantage here. Uptempo game should favor Washington.
2) San Antonio -6
Spurs have found a spark in Ginobili coming off the bench. This should be a tougher game than expected vs Portland who has a couple uprising stars in Brandon Roy/LaMarcus Aldridge. Trailblazers are worthy of noting a much improved rebounding team which helps to contorl tempo, which leadsd to a controlled pace. However, the Spurs have won their last 5 games by an average margin of 21.6 ppg and quite frankly are playing good basketball right now. In what I expect to be a close game throughout, Spurs should pull away late at the FT line.
3) Denver -4
Denver continues its homestand vs the Hornets who upset them last meeting (114-112OT)at the Pepsi Center on 2/7/07. Denver also lost @ New Orleans (99-89) on 12/29/06. I like the fact that the last 2 losses should be fresh in this teams mind which should leave no look ahead for the Nuggets. A team desperate for every win in a situation at home to avenge their last 2 losses.
