What a talented defender. A rookie shutting down the league's top scorer.

woah shutting down? chill
feels like OKC has had a premier defender at the 2 since their expansion as a team. all those guys have been liabilities offensively though. Sefolosha, Roberson, Dort, Ferguson. to no avail. need to be able to shoot as a guard in this league.

If you watched the games you'd see every time Harden had it and Dort was on him it was either going to be a bail out type pass or a miss. Dort looks stronger than Harden. Barrel chest, quick feet, quick hands. Very impressive.

Dort & Schroder superb in this series. SGA & Gallinari are MIA.

I mean yeah he's doing a great job. better then anyone has in the past but Harden still had 31pts on 70% FG. thats not shutting down by any means. the big thing is he went 0-9 from three on the offensive end today. thats not gonna cut it no matter how well you guard someone on the other end.

He's a decent shooter, he just had an off-night. Strong driver also -nothing like Roberson who's basically just a rebounder on the offensive end!! I don't care what Harden's stats were either, since almost all of it came vs the other guys. I trust my eyes.

Love your analysis, what is your assessment of Boston and toronto. Is depth going to be an issue for Raptors?

7 game series. Raptors ought to win. THey have Siakam, Celtics have Tatum, so that's a wash. Centre spot gives them the edge. Gasol & Ibaka both much more experienced & developed than Theis and the Williams boys.

Another rough start for Dort. Turning it over as a driver -gun shy.
Meanwhile Ferguson is awful. I remember P.George hyping him up as a 3&D guy. He's neither! A no3noD guy. Don't know why they play him over Diallo/ Roberson or even Nader.

Yeah, the box score doesn't tell the story. Dory has done a great job and his defense has disrupted Harden the Rockets offense.
It really annoys me that none of these defenders the Thunder have can shoot. Hopefully he develops a better shot. Also, it's pretty pathetic Houston has allowed this to go 7 games. They talk like they're a contender. LMAO. The Thunder and Rockets are the worst two teams left in the playoffs.
Houston has the more talented team but the Thunder have a smarter team. The Thunder are going to have nothing to lose in Game 7 and Houston is going to have all the pressure. The Thunder also have the best record in the league in close games. Are you going to trust Harden and Westbrook in crunch time or are you going to trust Chris Paul?
I think all the Thunder need to do in game 7 is keep it close until crunch time and then the Rockets will give it away. The Rockets gave away game 3 and did the same thing tonight.

I think they make each other look bad. They're "D"ing each other up. Worst two teams left are Nuggets/ Jazz imo. No defense.
edit: Nuggets would be better if Harris were at full strength though.

Dort is playing defense....outside of that, I'm not really sure they're "D"ing each other up. It's a combination of it being playoff bastketball, bad shot selection, turnovers, and costly fouls.
Westbrook literally threw the ball out of bounds to virtual fans on several occasions tonight.
I would totally take Mitchell or Murray over anyone in this series. That doesn't even factor in guys like Jokic. It doesn't really matter though, neither of these teams is a threat. At least the Jazz or Nuggets might push a second round series to 6 games.

People overlook the Rockets defense I think. They say they're smallball so they're soft, but in reality they cause a lot of problems with their speed. They will give the Lakers a shock or two.

If the Rockets had a rim protector who could play their style of play they would win the title going away. Not many guys like that but someone like Jaren Jackson or Theis.
Obviously AD too but he is not attainable at all.

I prefer Kleber to Theis. Both versatile defensively but Kleber a much better shooter.

Yup. Nuggets soft. Blown out in game 1 vs the Clippers. Rockets meanwhile giving the Lakers hell in their game 1.
