    Whiteside
How can he be so poor at defending the pick & roll? That's his job! Doesn't even defensive rebound missed FTs. Going to cost the Blazers the playoffs at this rate.

Thought Tyler Johnson didn't work for the Suns anymore. Their MVP tonight.

He is trying to break Ish Smith's record for the most 18 foot pullup jumpers in a row.

Blazers just let LeVert get where ever he wants all game then at the very end decide no, we're going to make him shoot it for once. Brick!

I assumed he was washed-up. Still not sure why the Suns let him go. Strange team

I turned on the stream to watch the 4th Q. Portland survived but their defense is porous.

I'm watching Portland and wondering how they can get a stop on D when they need one. I don't usually watch Portland games and I realize they are down Rodney Hood and Trevor Ariza.

Exactly my thought! Portland didn't seem to have any defensive strategy.

Terry Stotts is known as an offensive coach. He has a lot of dead wood on his roster tbf. Anthony just doesn't play much help defense while Whiteside has great length but not the brains to use it properly. Trent is their defensive wing but he's only 6'5 (LeVert 6'7). But even so... LOL

If Blazers win the play in. The Lakers will have their way with them offensively.

Melton has the highest +/- on Memphis by far this year but they don't like to play him.

Well he's not a pg and not a good shooter. Tough to give someone like that major mins. Him & Morant in the lineup together is a poor shooting lineup.

Blazers losing Collins a big blow for the Blazers. I don't like him either but he defends at least. They should play Gabriel vs Clarke. He plays hard.

He was -13 and Nurkic was +18.
Who will Whiteside guard against the Lakers, Dwight Howard? Geez.

If Collins is out for game 2 against the Lakers, I wonder who starts at 4. Maybe this Gabriel gets solid bench minutes. I don't know anything about him until today.

That would be a good bet. Personally I think they should move Anthony over to the 4 and plug Hezonja into the lineup. He had the game of his life vs L.James as a Knick last year; even shutting him down and screaming in his face on the final play as I recall.

Problem with Gabriel is he can't defend Davis and he can't shoot the three so you're losing both battles there. Think you gotta put Anthony on Davis and double on the catch every time. There's also the problem of Anthony guarding James

Here... no he didn't scream, blocked his shot though. Blazers have to kick the tires on him. A disappointment on the season but an X-factor in the series?

Interesting. I wonder if Stott can make the best roster decision to make them as competitive as possible. I wonder if he will do as you suggest.
