    Tyler Herro
This kid is the real deal. How the hell did Riley get this kid with the 13th pick?

Players like him normally take several years to adapt to the big league and often don't pan out at all. GMs probably thought another RJ Hunter.

he slipped to 13 because NBA scouting is horrible. we are in the era of elite shooting and ball handling yet teams still fantasize over having a dominant big man. nostalgia? or pure ignorance? no excuse for either.

He slipped because GMs looks at similar players of recent years. Name one player similar to him in recent years that bloomed within the duration of their rookie contract. Redick & Belinelli took 3-4 years to become what we know them as now.

Devin booker. that was my comparison for him coming out of the draft. not just because of the Kentucky connection but because of the almost identical style of play. the most likely reason gm's passed on Tyler was because he's not athletic enough. probably the same reason why Booker slipped. there is no other reason to pass up on a highly skilled player at the guard position.

That's a lofty comparison imo. Booker has a really high ceiling. Herro seems like just an elite shooter with some playmaking ability and a high IQ.

Upstaged by his teammate Kendrich Nunn tonight. Amazing that the HEAT had this kid most of last season and he's playing like this now. Reminds me of a young Reggie Jackson less the character flaws.

A young Reggie Jackson. He was superb in his OKC days.
