KD should definitely SUE the Warriors for giving him the green light to play, now we will never see the KD at his full strength EVER AGAIN. Nobody ever came back from Achilles Injury and be the same player, there's NONE in history. It sucks to lose KD and his absolute prime just because he wanted to SHUT all the critics up.

I know some people will bring up Dominique Wilkins and his comeback was successful. But people dont realize that before the injury Dominique was a skywalker, athleticism was off the chart, and after the injury he had to adjust his game and worked hard on his 3 points shooting, thats why he could continue to produce from shooting instead of just relying on his athleticism.

In his comeback, Wilkins did something Kobe Bryant cannot do. Wilkins reinvented himself as a three-point shooter, from almost exclusively being viewed as a high-fly act. Wilkins went from shooting 105 three-pointers in 1988-1989, to shooting 316 of them (1992-1993). 2 seasons after his injury, Wilkins shot a career-high 38.8% from beyond the arc. Bryant, already known as a great three-point shooter, will not be able to surprise defenders by pulling up from the outside, as defenders will expect him to do just that.

As for Kevin Durant, I really cant see him improve his game any other area after suffering htis injury, it's a shame to have very likely seen the last of the Kevin DURANT PRIME, thanks to the GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS, I hope the warriors burn into ashes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q99_CNpBY2Q Raja Bell explained nicely how there's nobody ever came back the same after the injury.

ahaha oh how the tides have turned

first its KD doesn't wanna play. wants to go to NY

then its Warriors made him play through injury. maybe he will resign now. they're family

the media is infiltrating your thoughts friend. if you think KD didn't do everything in his willpower to play, you are being naive. he was gonna play no matter what. it was just unfortunate how it ended. its no ones fault. that is the real part of basketball. injuries suck but they happen. everyone will move on. will KD be the same? who knows. no one has ever looked like him at 7 feet with slim build. so he will write his own story on this one.

It seems obvious to me that he was pressured to play by management. Why else would they leak to the media that his teammates were growing restless? Why else does the GM go in front of the cameras with that pitiful display? Guilty conscience perhaps but I think also word will eventually get out that the Warriors' medical staff was pressured to clear Durant before he was truly ready.

As far as Durant himself, who really cares? I certainly don't. He didn't die. He will still get paid one of the highest salaries in the league next year to sit on the sidelines and probably sign a max contract the year after that if not even this coming season. Only thing that really takes a hit is his legacy and his ability to win championships but that's more for fans.

yeah that whole spectacle with the GM was just pitiful. seemed fake to me. but I think if Durant was ever pushed to play, we'd know about it. maybe not now but it would leak eventually. I think it was a mutual decision like Warriors have been saying.

did he officially tear his achilles though? I think either way he will still get paid. and if for whatever reason thats not the case, then he can always accept his player option with State.
