I almost want to take a stab with Portland now.

But Nurkic was such a huge loss, especially since they would need him against OKC Adams.

I wish Paul George was more hurt but looks like his shoulder is fine now.

Magic remind me of last year's Celtics team; they'll give the Raptors a good series I think. I don't see any upsets happening in either conference. I was hoping the Thunder would be close to pick 'em...

Nuggets & Spurs are fairly similar to each other. Jokic is younger, stronger, and more skilled than Aldridge. DeRozan might swing it for the Spurs but I don't trust him. I imagine every TV pundit is saying the Nuggets will be upset because they lack experience...

Blazers really should have been trying for 3 seed anyway. They only have to face one of Rockets or Warriors but not both and not until the finals.

So resting players yesterday looks really bad and Stan van Gundy made a good point about this saying it shows they really fear the Thunder and now Stotts has to motivate his players against a team he tried to avoid.

But if Blazers drift out to about +140 I think I have to consider them.

I can't see Spurs winning Game 7 at Denver. I'm off their series bet but I think +5.5 is good for Game 1.

SVG lost all credibility with the shockingly bad decisions he made as the Pistons' GM (cutting Dinwiddie, signing Jackson, trading Harris not to mention the draft picks!). He's just another talking head.

Blazers rested guys because it was a b2b and they have guys nicked up -esp McCollum. Lillard has been carrying the team on his back the past two weeks. Makes no sense to run them into the ground on a b2b when the team at the 6th seed is tougher than the team at the 5th seed!

True and the Blazers' players said they hoped to rematch with OKC in the playoffs so it's not like the players are scared. But it does look kind of bad because it looks like Stotts really tried to do everything possible to lose by playing only 6 guys. Plus the fact that Lillard was active meant that it wasn't really about rest, and 100% to do with opponent preference.

Maybe it's nothing in the end. At any rate, I lean towards Portland if odds can get a little better. I just worry about their backcourt defense. If there's any way Stotts can stagger Lillard and McCollom more would be terrific.

It's very easy for a coach to throw a game, particularly down 28pts. They used a zone defense to great effect. If the idea was to lose he would have had them in a man to man for starters. He was just taking care of his guys while giving the kiddies a chance to shine.

Well it was at least a lot more difficult to throw it against the lineup the Kings put out in the 4th quarter.
