It's bizarre because you don't understand it. People that know the game understand it. No offense.

I thought that as well.........
However,
Oddsmakers have been giving too much respect to the Bob Kittens for a while now........

And yet, they never adjust.
Still waiting to hear back from the "IBetYou" genius on why the C's would be a dog in Charlotte.

Here's the thread I had on them against Chi town as 9 point favorites..
Have you actually watched them play? (because I know the oddsmakers don't)
They are horrible.

No I do not...
To tell you the truth I can't handle the extreme anxiety it causes with 50+ lead changes per game...
or
Up by 30 lose by 20 hellercoaster ride........
I always bet on numbers(line movement) and previous match ups ETC..
So there isa no need to take that unhealthy hellish ride,Lol............
Just check the scores after game or next day just logging on my book accounts to see if I won...

its very clear vegas was betting on hornets to win and most teams would win in this spot.
BUT squares made out because hornets are probably the worst team in the league

Just because one bets the favorite does not make him square..........
As sharp players know when to bet a favorite and when to bet a dog...............

The Celtics were a 1pt fav at tip-off. They have not played well. Without J.Brown. Not a shocking line for people that know the game, that's all I was saying. If your thread title was Hornets are overrated, like what the other poster has been saying, you'd be right on.

Perfect example was betting Boston as a favorite tonight.......
And betting Chicago ML or ATS as they were 9 point dogs in the thread I posted above...........................
Saying Vegas bet on Charlotte is just ludicrous..........
ODDSMAKERS have failed to adjust Charlotte lines as of yet, simple as that........

The Hornets have had a lot of injuries this season, and that's why the books are giving them leeway. Batum missed the first 6 weeks or so. MKG, Lamb, Kaminsky have also missed time here and there.

That's because oddsmakers use computers and formulas only to make lines now. Zero common sense.
Ask LT - that guy never even watches a game. He's cut from the same cloth as the dorks making horrific lines like this one.

This isn't true at all. If oddsmakers were completely reliant on some algorithm ran by a computer than just spat out lines, they'd be way easier to beat. Common sense is baked into the lines more often than not.
I feel Vegas did take a pretty firm stance with the Hornets tonight and it backfired because they probably could have had Boston -4.5 and still received the lion's share of bets on the Celtics.
I can guarantee you it wasn't some computer program the coughed up a meager one point spread for a favorite that has more than twice as many wins as the team they were playing.

I thought I was clear!
Essentially one cold team going against another. The Celtics blew a 20pt lead in this game. Had they lost some other guy would have been on here saying the Celtics are overrated, why were they a 1pt fav at tip-off etc.
As for being reliant on computers... sure why not? They do account for injuries though. A player like J.Brown is worth about 2pts on the spread.

And there you have it the Hellercoaster ride I spoke of,,Lol.......
Houston up as high as 26 points and Boston never had the lead
until Harden blatantly fouled Boston not once but twice handing
the game to Boston in final seconds..
