Aha, yes, I caught this little nugget. This Shock-Fever game is exactly the kind of game where the Fever should handily win, which is exactly why they won't.

Man I like Minnesota and San Antonio but just not feeling Seattle even if it's a JM Play. There's just too much money backing Seattle, and we all know the bookies ain't gonna lose with their refs giving Atlanta every call tonight. The line has come down from 3 to 1, and possibly the bookies know that Atlanta can possibly win by 2 points. I was looking at last season's trend, where Seattle went on a road trip and lost to Connecticut the first game, then beated Atlanta the next following game. Will this happen this year? Atlanta knows they cannot let this happen again. No disrespect to my brothers CK and SexyMit, just my thoughts guys. Anyway, good luck to us all today!

they only buy when with a 5-8 point underdog OR a 13-8 point favorite. Then you would have the value that you desire. Just buying points just to be buying them is cutting your profits severely (CK words)

Another way to look at the seattle and Atlanta game my brothers is this....Atlanta has WON AND COVERED 5 of the last 6 games... Seattle has LOST SIX STRAIGHT against the spread... they can't cover a game for their life.. they have lost SU and ATS their last three road games...BUT.. they are only a 1 point underdog...c'mon are u serious... Gimme SEATTLE homies!! makes no sense.

Actually Jimbo even better stats are Atlanta has covered 9 out of last 11 games if I'm not mistaken. And yes Seattle has been in a little slump ATS wise the last 2 weeks. It is down to 1 so I just took ML with 1 they have to really win outright anyway. So +100 or +1 -110 I would rather have the plus odds, its the smarter play your not laying any juice for needing the same result!

I really expected Seattle to be about a 5-point dog in this game, but they opened at 3 and system plays moved it down from there. The system has been money, and I'm on it tonight, but it makes me queasy thinking about it. I wish JM had never got a hold of it and spread it all over the world. Too damn popular for its own good and eventually it will collapse in on itself. The other systems (MLB, NBA, NFL) have enough volume to absorb this heavy play (especially NFL), but the WNBA does not.

I was curious on the +1 Seattle Odds so I did some research.

There has been 6 -1/+1 Odds this season. The team with the +1 has won 5 out of the 6.

Well, the spread finally inverted -- it's now Seattle -1. Got it at +2, so it's the same thing as buying 3 points, but if that's the closing line, ST's research makes me find of nervous.

Also, 89% on Seattle and 95% on Minnesota -- LOL!

That research data is for the original pointspread startout... So the original pointspread startout today was Seattle +1... So Seattle +1 should most likely hit.

the line came out at seattle +3

so seattle +6 would have been the true samson play. these guys are just doing a project play with the storm though...would have told you to buy points if they did.

Was the backtesting done on opening or closing lines? (I think you backtested it, right?)

I see now... doing some research some sportsbooks opened up at +3, 2.5, 1, or PK.

So if Seattle covers by 6 than it's hard to tell whether the B bet was correct because some sportsbooks vary. So what default sportsbook do we go by? It's oh so confusing lol.
