Just checked for the last 2 years, the first day after the break, here are the numbers:

Game: 6 unders and 4 overs
First Half: 5 unders and 5 overs
2008
Game: 3 unders and 7 overs
First Half: 3 unders and 7 overs
Not saying it doesn't work historically, but the last 2 years you would have been 17-23 betting unders in the game and first half.Comment -

while i catch your drift, i've been watching the thunder a lot, and playing them a lot and they have really been faded frequently by the public. I think there's still money to be made with them, personally, you just have to have the stones to play them appropriately. I really liked the way they played from when i saw them play the lakers and i don't think they cover that game if they aren't playing so well. They have been attacking the basket, working good offensive possessions, and management just gave them a huge boost by providing them with tyson chandler to give them some muscle up the middle so they won't get stepped on down low any more. OKC will be juiced up by that trade, while rumblings from some of the hornets indicate that they know the trade does not make them a better team and will likely make it harder for them to compete with the post presences of contenders. (D. West expressed confusion that sounded like doubt). As a matter of fact, with public heavy on the hornets and the line falling to a convenient 3.5, i have to think that vegas just wants to make it harder to take the thunder cuz they are the play here. They got blown out earlier against the horny's but are playing miles better now and don't have to fight chandler down low.

the line in the nets rockets game is just too low, so i have to call shennanegins. rockets are arguing too much artest and mcgrady are just not good together and neither can stay in the line up consistently. i'm watching, but i'll probably play the nets tonight too.

Today I am liking OKC and Spurs.
Oklahoma City Thunder +4.5 (waiting as close to gametime as possible)
The Hornets haven't been too hot lately, lossing 6 of their past 8 games, those two losses were against a cold Memphis at the time and a big loss against the Celts. While the Thunder have been covering machines year and I don't think they will stop now, even though they have the third worst record in the NBA. They are getting a good group of youngsters playing each other and are on the improve. This season Oklahoma are 5-1 as a home underdog of 3.5 to 6 points and 12-7 revenging a loss vs opponent(they lost to NO twice this season). The spread is also moving in the right direction.

San Antonio Spurs -3.5 (B 1/2)
The Spurs had a loss to the Raptors just prior to the break and this'll be fresh in their heads, we've seen them bounce back hard on the back of losses and New York will have something else coming for them even though they have been playing some great ball prior to the break. In their pat 5 games at New York, the Spurs are 3-2 ATS and 4-1 SU, they won those four games by an average of 10.3 points. Spurs will want to bounce back and start the second half of the season with a bang, they have also played only 2 games in the past 12 days.
