ive always felt if the player back was into the starting lineup right away, that was the angle to fade them...

Yes, I do. Different rhythm and cadence to a team, regardless of how good the player is coming back. Takes a while to get the old chemistry back.

out of curiosity, i just looked at wed and thursdays nba boxscore, and nothing like this happened in the 1st/2nd qtr....NY/Bos had a 3rd/4th qtr similar, but the game was a blowout..
