feel like the OKC sweep of the Spurs is in the back of the minds of SA, as was the same scenario Heat vs Nets. Mia came out and covered both games...

OKC has played well as dogs this year but i think losing Ibaka means more then losing say a scorer like Reggie Jackson. Guys like that who play well defensively, block shots etc are tough to replace..

I like the over.....If I were Brooks, I would go small and force the older Spurs to run all night. I'd play KD at the 4 and make the Spurs have to decide who guards him. Both these teams are going to score.

The Thunder swept the Spurs 4-0 in the regular season. This is just the 4th instance in NBA history where one team was 4-0 or better vs. another team in the regular season and they met in the Conference Finals. In each of the 3 previous cases, the team that swept the regular season won the playoff series as well.

OKC may loose the 1st game, and will check the adjustments that have to make with the absence of Ibaka...
Don't forget Collison is a smart guy, he know how to screen well, Sefolosha will have more attempt to shoot.
Butler, and R. Jackson and Adams will have a major roll from the bench.

All expect Spurs to enter Strong, SO wait and we will get a better OKC line

Don't expect the OKC to loose by Double digits.

BTW, i hope Durant start atacking the damm RIM... or he is saving those mooves to the finals ?? he will need to use them if he wants to reach the finals...

I really believe OKC will win the series....

Not sure.....I am big on the Thunder getting that many points especially in an opening round game. I think Ibaka isn't going to be that much of an issue for OKC because they have serviceable bigs who can contain Duncan and Splitter. I think they might go smaller and I think this is where Caron Butler finally makes his presence felt and has a big game tonight.

i did see where I think the spurs are like 8-0 SU in opening round games at home in the playoffs though so that's a plus for you

But maybe that stat only counts season sweeps of teams that met 4 times (hence the "4-0 or better", don't see what's better than 4-0 but w/e) and not 3.

Well the Nets beat the Heat 4-0 this season, but they didn't meet in the Conference Finals.

which was one of the bigger factors in me going 4u on this game 1.
it made too much sense after mia started out hot against the nets.
pop is in their ear about this as motivation.

Dont forget that it moved from 4.5 to 5.5 b/c of the Ibaka news. Tough game to call, but if you like SA, gm1 is the time to back them. You got a killer line at -4, I'm leaning towards laying the pts too.

did the move correlate to the news release?
looking at the history with timestamps, it was just a steady climb from 4.5/5/5.5/6.....not 1 full point move in a tick.
it didnt even cross my mind that ibaka had to do with the move - maybe it did....if westbrook/durant are worth 3/4, maybe ibaka is worth 1..

i laid 130 to get that line...

Yes the line move did correlate with the injury news to Ibaka. Most books went straight from 4.5 to 5.5. Pinny and Greek moved to 5, and then eventually moved to 5.5 later that night.

Spurs looking good. If Spurs don't win this series, then TEAM basketball doesn't win.
