Looking for advice on managing bankroll
    Hi

I am starting on betting NBA and have a 500 USD bankroll

Does anyone of you have any advice on what could be a good system to manage it? Something similar like poker 20BB ?

    Thanks a lot

1-2% of ur bankroll PER unit.

so your unit is either 5-10 bux(id go with 10)

so if you have a 3 unit play, 30 bux, 5 unit-50 bux, etc

    best way to do it.

no more than 50 dollars on any bet. For me, max of $33 to win $30 on a bet at (-110) odds

once you hit 600-700, then you can increase bet size

i just do a constant 10% of my bankroll for a 5 day period, then recalculate and do 10% of that for a 5 day period.

ex: if ur starting at $500, bet 50 for 5 days. if u win 300 after 5 days = $800 bankroll, recalculate, and bet $80 for the next 5 days.

you may want to do it for every 7 days or longer instead of 5 days.

hmm, $500 is good to start with. Just bet 110 to win 100 per game. I hate doing small $50/$30 bets. Takes too long to get anywhere. I like big bets but big bets can send you to the poorhouse fast. If your a rookie stick to the under $50 bets..

A good guideline for a $500 bankroll is 1-5% (5-25 bucks) of it in action for any given bet. The more confident you are with the bet, the higher the percentage. Parlays and teasers are a different matter.

Compared to poker its less like the 20bb minimum, and more like the 30 big buy in rule. Always have a bankroll that allows for 30 max buy ins for your game. So a $500 poker bankroll would have you playing $15 max games, which is about what your median bet size will be in sports betting. Money management is just as important in sports betting as in poker.

when following somebody try to analyze it a bit, so no regrets later on. nobody should blame someone else. no caretaker here.

a good thing to do is know which team is hot and dont against it. Boston is a hot commodity esp at home, but garnett is out. clev at home is still undefeated.
