nope, i did not play any parlays at all...guess it was just a lucky week..i double it on first day..went 8-2 with mix bets of $25 $50 and couple of $100 bets..then got another 200$ next day...and so on..

Wow, I'm a nice guy, but this is the worst case of money management I've seen in my life. You did a two team teaser and lost both teams...for your entire bankroll. Here's a tip: when setting goals, make sure they're reasonable, smart, measurable, and have a time frame. Turning $350 into $20k is not a reasonable goal; your mission was doomed from the start.

I have mentioned so many times on this and other boards that money management needs to be talked about a lot more than what picks a guy is making.

This guy could have done well but he made THREE critical mistakes, actually four. He bet too much per game. He bet too many parlays, he bet teasers, and then he flipped his lid and bet his whole bankroll on a teaser!!

God, just donate the money to charity!!! I believe you can turn $350 into 20K but it is going to take a LONG LONG time. Guys on these boards get all caught up in making big money fast. It usually doesn't happen that way. Slow and steady wins the race.

This guy should have been betting about $10 a game....$5 a game would have been more like it. Guys just are not willing to win small amounts at a time.

Let me give you an example: There are three kinds of bettors. There are the kind that just play ridiculous shit and hope to make money, which this guy was. There are guys that bet to make money as an investment, but not really make a living. And then their are guys that make a living betting on sports.

If you were to put $1000 into a savings account you might make 2.5% for the year. Hell, a 10 year Treasury pays you about 2.14% a year. If you were to be really conservative you could EASILY make 10% a month wagering on sports, and probably more, and have a lot of fun doing it. That is sports INVESTING.

Now, if you have a large enough bankroll and you make just 10% a month you could make a very nice living betting on sports. A $100,000 bankroll at 10% a month is $10,000. I guarantee you that 99% of the guys here do NOT make $10,000 a month on their regular jobs. Most don't make half of that.

So let's take a look at how you could EASILY make 10% a month conservatively. Let's start out with a $1000 bankroll. No, you are not going to make a living with that bankroll unless you live in a box and eat out of a dumpster. But let's run the numbers.

To make 10% a month all you need to do is win $100. So over a thirty day period you need to win $3.33 a day! Now most of you will laugh at that....but yet you put your money in savings making less than 3% a YEAR! So wake up and get into reality.

The safe conservative wager would be 2.5%, or $25 per game. So let's say you make four plays a day for a total of 120 plays a month, all at -110 or dogs. NO CHASING, although chasing would make these numbers look a lot better.

Now let's say that you only hit 54% of your bets. You would have WON 64.8 bets, but let's round that up to 65 winning bets. You LOST 55 bets.

So at 65 winning bets times $25 a game you WON $1625.00.

At 55 losing bets times $25 a game you LOST $1375 PLUS $137.50 on the juice for a total of $1512.50 in losses.

You have a NET profit of $112.50. In ONE month you made 11.25%. Now many of you will scoff at that, yet you willingly put your money in savings and other investments that pay you FAR less for the ENTIRE YEAR!

If you want to be a heavy hitter you need to have the bankroll and use good money management techniques. Slow and steady wins the race. And by the way, I think if you use this board correctly you can do MUCH better than 54%. But I just wanted to show you what can be done with a low winning percentage.

If you made five bets a day you would have made more at the same wager amount and the same winning percentage and of course if you made less than four bets a day with the same wager amount and the same winning percentage you would have made less.

But let's see, would you rather make 11% of your bankroll a MONTH, or lose it all acting like a f'n idiot? If you have to think for more than a millisecond on that one you are the idiot.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish here, i don't understand really? You want to be a pro bettor so everyone would come to your threads and say oh my god you rule please pick something so we can all win teh millionz $$$?

This is a betting comunity, you learn by reading, researching, following older members, more experienced people in this field of sports betting, you then read some more, you resarch some more and give your own input to various discussions, different fields of betting, then you get acknowledged for your efforts and eventually get the feeling about the game.

It's not a crime to read and bet on what other people bet, there are some damn good cappers on this forum, so use their information wisely and sooner or later you will think more and more like them eventually realising, hey, look, i'm there, i can bet successfully on my own. Hip hip hoo fkn ray.
