Ho, ho, ho and a mighty jolly day for gamblers like myself and others. On the 13th day of Christmas, God has blessed us with five stellar NBA games and over 12 hours of non-stop sports action - so when the family is starting to enjoy each other's company, we can be hauled off in a corner somewhere whacking Corona's and watching some of the NBA's finest hopefully win us some money.
1. Orlando -4.5 (WINNER)
The Hornets have looked shaky lately, and it's going to be tough to see the Magic in full-swing lose a home game on Christmas Day. No Peja means even more appeal to lay the lumber on Orlando. Lay the points, and lean towards the over here.
2. Magic/NOH over 192 (LOSER)
Magic has been posting the points lately and NOH is always a steady bet to put up some points.
3. San Antonio / Phoenix UNDER 199.5 (WINNER)
San Antonio has been NOTORIOUS for going under in games since I started following their totals last season and the Suns tend to tailor their game speed to their opponents. The only time the Spurs put up 100+ is when they absolutely romp teams, and this means you're looking a final like 101-89.
4. Boston +2
The Boston Celtics, getting points, at any venue against any NBA team. Nuff' said.
5. Washington/Cleveland over 191
Cleveland has been putting up the points lately, and this game at home on Christmas should be no exception. Look for Washington to try and stage a Christmas miracle by sticking with Cleveland throughout 2, maybe 3 quarters -- putting a good enough run together to run up the total -- but the Cavs should dominate and have no trouble putting up 100-110 as a team today at home.
As always, good luck, and MERRY X-MAS to all!
