I actually think with Rose they can make a good run in the playoffs. They keep it close against every good team in this league without Rose due to an amazing defense. Rose will help the offense along. This might be my bias talking, as I really want there to be some good threats in the East this year so that Miami isn't a shoe-in for the finals again.

They won't win the title even with Rose + the current squad but they should revamp the bench again within a couple years. They'll be signing Yugoslavian talent Nikola Mirotic by way of Spain (not sure when the Bulls officially get him) & we may have Boozer's toxic contract finally off the books. I could see the Bulls making another good run at the title within the next two to three years with a healthy Derrick Rose anchoring the team.

If Rose was healthy the Bulls would win 60 games with this roster. They still would not win a title or get by the Heat, but they are well coached and they play hard every single night, something not seen in the NBA. They win regular season games by shear hard work and hustle. In the playoffs they lose because every team plays hard and they only have Rose.
