Utah seems like a good play but why bet against the Spurs right now?

I've made like two plays in situations like this in they have both lost this year. I'm trying to learn from my mistakes.

I think the Spurs are the second best team in the NBA behind the Heat, however, I feel like the Spurs could beat the Heat in a 7 game series because of coaching.

Is San Antonio going to cover rest of their games? Of course not. With that said, they are the better team, and playing better. I feel like they would probably cover 4 against Utah at least 60% of the time even if it is on the road. They have better players and a better coach.

I really wanted to back Utah but I can't see enough good reasons other than they are at home as a short dog. The line is probably right about where it should be so I see no real advantage here.

I'll probably make a live bet or take the Spurs first half and chase second half if it loses. The NBA is so damn streaky, if you wait you can get a lot better line at some point during the game.

- The Pacers are down 14 and win by 15.
- OKC is down 12 and wins by 2
- The Nets are down double digits and win by 6

Yeah, I feel like I've made this same play like three times in the past year and it always loses.

I'm taking the Spurs -2 for the first half and if it loses I'll play them again in the 2nd half.

The Spurs have been starting off slow and blowing teams out in the second half so I'll probably lose the first bet and then win the second bet after the Spurs turn it on and win by like 9.

i have the same feeling. Everything is telling me initially that i should take utah but i don't see this as a let down spot for the spurs. The line is telling me spurs and they have dominated utah for the most part. Ill fade the spurs tomorrow when they go to portland but not tonight.

Everytime I bet a Spurs under, it's always well on pace and then they explode to bury me. If that happens, they should at least cover the "square" -2 I took.

You obviously haven't seen many of my posts because I'm pretty anti taking short road faves especially the Heat, Thunder, and Spurs.

With that said, if you had played the Spurs and Thunder every game you would be up a decent amount.
