Celtics 76ers line today and tomorrow: +1 then +6.5?
76ers open up +1 at home today vs the Celts but tomorrow they are opening at +6.5 in Boston. Now, why is there such a big difference IF 1) The Sixers have beat Boston in Boston this season already, 2) The Celtics are the much older team.
There must be something I'm missing here as I had that 2nd game lined up at around +3.5.. thoughts?
(I find it hard to believe the Celts take both these games but I haven't put anything on these yet).

Celtics are auto-fade on the 2nd game of a back 2 back

Nothing is auto but yes, usually you'd pick against them covering any sort of spread larger than 5 on a 2nd night against a comparative team. So why do you think its +6.5 tomorrow? That is one puzzling number imo..

If it was so big, why are the 76ers +1 at home? Not much an advantage if you are still projected to lose (by the lines)

that makes no sense. the books are saying that boston about -4 on a neutral court. in boston they lay 2.5 more points, in philly they get 2.5 more points.

              Seriously?

Home Court Advantage can be approximated at 3 points most of the time in the NBA (it's actually a bit higher), so if the Celtics are -1 today on the road, that would make them -7 at home against the same team. Give the Sixers a small bonus on the B2B for being the younger squad (call it 0.5-1 point), and there's your line. Nothing mysterious about it.

Very well. I don't see Boston winning both so I will be taking 76ers both nights-- and I don't take much into "big home court" advantages unless. Hopefully you're right and I get burned, GL everyone.

It's all good, I plan to play 76ers ML tomorrow as well if Celts win. If both lose then it's just too bad, GL
